00:05 Meanwhile, passengers at the PITX are increasing ahead of Christmas.

00:13 The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, or CAAP,
00:17 is expecting around 2.2 million passengers to travel the friendly skies this December.
00:23 The projection is higher than the two million local international travelers recorded in the same month last year.
00:30 The number of passengers at the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange, or PITX,
00:34 has increased to 116,000 as of December 19,
00:38 which is already way above the daily average of 90,000 to 100,000.
00:44 As a result, many of the trips for various bus routes are already fully booked up until the new year.
00:50 Because we are no longer in a pandemic,
00:52 although we still have news that our COVID-19 numbers are increasing,
00:57 and that the flu-like symptoms will be released,
00:59 but this is not a coincidence that these people,
01:01 because after several years of holiday season that is a bit restricted,
01:05 now is the time for them to fly.
01:07 That's why there are so many people.
01:09 That's why we expect that from December 15 to January 3,
01:13 the number of passengers will not be lower than 2.6 million.
01:17 Meanwhile, the Department of Transportation, or DOT, has extended the operations of LRT-1, LRT-2, MRT-3, and PNR starting today until Saturday.
01:28 Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri accepted and respected the decision of Senator Francis Tolentino,
01:35 who is set to resign as chair of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
01:38 The Senate leader said under Tolentino's leadership,
01:41 the committee became effective and productive in conducting investigations in aid of legislation.
