00:00 It may only be Monday,
00:01 but it's never too early to talk
00:03 about the weekend,
00:04 especially when we're talking about
00:05 one of the busiest travel weekends
00:07 of the year holiday travel across the US.
00:09 You get the picture for Saturday here.
00:11 Green means good.
00:12 Red means well,
00:13 best of luck to you and the Rockies
00:15 and the Sierra.
00:16 That's where we have some issues
00:18 in terms of snow,
00:19 even as you head out into the Wasatch.
00:21 We are looking at a storm moving
00:23 through the mountain ranges of the
00:25 West and you'll notice that there
00:26 is going to be more in the way of
00:29 snow and snow elevations at times.
00:30 That means travel across
00:31 interstates across the West.
00:33 Even as you look toward,
00:34 let's say 25 in Denver,
00:35 we could have some slick spots at times,
00:37 not the worst as you head
00:39 through central Colorado,
00:39 but as you get up into the Rockies
00:41 and again the Wasatch,
00:42 that's where we could see some issues here.
00:44 Green good in Minneapolis,
00:45 Chicago and many of our Midwest cities.
00:47 That stripe of yellow continues
00:49 with some rain and even a wintery
00:50 mix possible as we head through
00:52 the Ohio Valley.
00:53 We're going to keep an eye on that
00:54 and more rain possible for the
00:56 South Central states you can see
00:58 the Christmas Eve.
00:58 Maybe you're traveling on Sunday.
01:00 It's a somewhat similar picture.
01:01 Thankfully we lose the red so travel
01:03 not quite as difficult as we move
01:05 across our mountain ranges,
01:06 but it is going to be cool for many.
01:09 Denver quieter Kansas City,
01:10 Chicago, Memphis, Dallas.
01:10 You can see the yellow.
01:12 I'm not going to call it picture perfect,
01:14 but it is what it says it is.
01:16 It's fair, it's not the worst.
01:17 It's not the best.
01:18 It's like Goldilocks.
01:19 It's just alright.
01:20 Boston, New York, Washington DC 95 corridors.
01:21 You had through the Mid Atlantic
01:23 in the Northeast.
01:24 You're doing a OK,
01:24 so if you choose to travel on Christmas Eve,
01:27 the biggest contender you're going to have.
01:29 Well, it's everyone else on the road,
01:30 not the weather.
