If you love racing and flying games, read on my friend. Star Racer is a retro inspired, Sci-Fi, arcade, combat racing game. Retro games are some of the greatest ever made. I spend a good chunk of my free time playing them, so the feel and the design decisions are ingrained into my mind and my muscle memory. My goal is to combine retro feels with modern sensibilities to create something new. My hope is to bring more retro style games to people who love them and to people who have yet to play them.
When I set out to make this game, I wanted to create something that evokes what these games make me feel: The love and care that goes into every pixel, the heart-pounding rush when you are on the last level and your last life. I want you to be only seconds away from fun and joy the moment you pick up the controller. Star Racer is my genuine attempt to evoke these feelings. It is my intention to pay homage to this medium because I believe in keeping retro gaming alive and well. And who knows, maybe one day we will be able to make a de-make cartridge of the game.

Buckle up and reach for the stars! Star Racer is a high-octane combat racer that invokes the thrill of retro classics. Blaze through the streets and defy gravity with gripping aerial assaults in order to be the first - or only - racer to cross the finish line.
Engage in electrifying battles on the intergalactic racetrack where every turn is a chance to outsmart the opposition! Clean racing ain't going to cut it, so you're going to have to claim victory by any means necessary. Smash through your rivals with circling ground attacks, or eliminate the competition in the stars with all-out aerial assaults. Star racer will see you drifting around tight corners, spinning and dashing into your opponents, and firing lasers across the sky to take the advantage.
Hazards and Obstacles
You thought other racers were the only threat? Navigate icy patches, sizzling lava pits, and bouncy roads that can throw any seasoned racer off their game in an instance. Avoid enemy turrets targeting your every move, and drift through bombastic mines awaiting the slightest touch. One wrong move and you’ll be left in the stardust! We've got the classics like dirt, ice, and mines, and we are also bringing in some whacky new challenges like trampoline terrain, and EMP fields!
