00:00 early hours of Sunday morning the 29th of October there was a burglary that
00:03 occurred at the location where somebody has cut a hole in the archway and stolen
00:08 some of the silver items from the museum that were in a cabinet underneath the
00:12 archway where they've cut. This was an audacious planned and targeted attack on
00:15 what is a wonderful historic building. It was clearly very well organized when
00:21 they came and did this. The items that were stolen are not only high in
00:25 monetary value but also high in sentimental value not only to the
00:29 military but also to the wider community in the area. It's disgusting
00:32 that they've took history from the people who served and fought for this
00:39 country. The items are priceless to the museum. How do you put a value on history?
00:46 We're upset about it but we're fighting back and we're going to rebuild from
00:53 what's gone. We know the items that are stolen are incredibly distinctive.
00:58 They're going to be very difficult to sell on. They're worth a lot more to the
01:02 museum than they are melted down in the silver form. Our plea is anybody that
01:07 was around at that time maybe seen or heard of anything suspicious in the area
01:11 but also if they've seen or heard of anyone trying to sell on these items,
01:15 store these items and melt them down, give them to somebody else, any small
01:19 piece of information no matter how minute it might seem to that person
01:24 might help us and point us in the direction of who's committed the crime.
01:27 Those criminals they may think they've gotten away with a lot of silver but at
01:30 this moment in time they definitely haven't gotten away with the crime.
01:32 We're following every line of inquiry and obviously we're confident that we'll be
01:35 able to find the people that have committed this crime.
