Attila Szabó's Fatal Crash @ Eger Rallye 2015 (Aftermath)

Hungarian rally co-driver Attila Szabó, 38-year-old from Debrecen, was killed during the fifth special stage "Egerbakta - Sirok 3" of the 10th edition of the Eger Rallye, then a round of the 2015 Hungarian Rally Championship - Class 2.

The accident happened on Sunday, 29 March 2015. The BMW M3 E46 #289 entered by team North Racing Kft and driven by Csaba Varga went out of control and crashed into a tree. The driver was slightly injured, but his co-driver Attila Szabó was killed on the spot.

In consequence of the fatal accident the final stage was canceled and Ariel Gyarmati-György Kocsis in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI, who at the moment were leading the rally, were declared winners.
