Scott Espinosa's life was destroyed by false accusations of rape. He was arrested February 26, 2012 on numerous charges including two counts of rape. His accuser, Leslie Peterson, claimed to be 14 years old - which later turned out to be another lie. Espinosa spent 19 months behind bars before the truth came out.

While Espinosa was in prison, his mother committed suicide believing her son to be a rapist, something that affected him deeply. He was facing 35 years behind bars.
