00:00 The Government will be aware that the bridge over the Dduffy is open, but in June, the A487 and A493 will be on the bridge over the Dduffy and the Gae for a month.
00:13 So, 15 June onwards and onwards, I will be happy.
00:16 People in the area, especially in Penal and Brodus, are determined to be on the Gae for a month. It will be beneficial, of course, for them to be able to go to the hospital in Aberystwyth, for example, and for workers to go over to the hospital and to the hospital.
00:34 Some of those will be disabled, and there are workers who want to cross the bridge as well, and they are now determined to be able to come to ambulances if there is a cause in Penal.
00:48 So, what advice have you given, or what importance can you as a Government give, to ensure that the bridge is not on the Gae for the whole of that time, when it is possible to ensure that the workers who work on the bridge work during the night, to ensure that the bridge is open, or to come to some other threat, as it is not necessary to have the bridge closed for a month after 15 June?
01:13 We are aware of the concerns regarding the closure of the A493.
01:18 The Welsh Government is working with the contractor, local authorities and stakeholders to ensure that all mitigation options are considered to minimise disruption.
01:26 Specifically, I know the contractor's public liaison officer is currently consulting with emergency services, local schools, social services and health centres to gather their views.
01:36 That work is ongoing, and feedback received will be used by officials and the project team to ensure that appropriate mitigation proposals are in place during the road closure.
