McDonald’s set to open new concept restaurant, CosMc’s

I don’t know about you, but when rhyming off McDonald’s mascots the first ones that spring to my mind are Ronald, The Hamburgler, Grimace, and, do you remember CosMc? Well, the latter could be having a big impact on the McDonald’s brand, but how so?

00:10 Maccy restaurants that we're familiar with? Well, McDonald's is set to launch a mysterious

00:14 new spin-off named Cosmix, with the first restaurant set to open in Bolingbrook, Illinois.

00:20 And whilst the rumour mill continues to spin, it's thought that the outlet will sell items

00:24 from teas to lemonades to sandwiches and baked goods, and may even be a competitor for the

00:30 likes of Starbucks. It's thought Illinois has been chosen a setting location due to

00:34 its proximity to McDonald's global headquarters in Chicago. Named after one of McDonald's

00:40 vintage mascots, Cosmix is an alien character who was featured in a series of McDonald's

00:45 commercials in the 80s and 90s. McDonald's CEO has described Cosmix as a "small format

00:50 concept with all the DNA of McDonald's but with its own unique personality."
