00:03 When you're a royal correspondent,
00:04 you have to play a certain game.
00:07 I feel like I'm okay with the fact
00:09 that I'll burn my bridges.
00:10 I know that this is over for me.
00:13 There is a palace WhatsApp group
00:15 where we get information sent to us.
00:18 I can guarantee that the second this book
00:20 hits UK bookshelves, that I'll be removed from it.
00:23 - We know Omid Scobie as Harry and Meghan's
00:25 finding freedom co-biographer.
00:27 He was even given the nickname Meghan's mouthpiece.
00:30 His new book, Endgame, is out today
00:32 among the bombshell claims.
00:34 - All the secrets are in this book.
00:37 - The royals are all master manipulators.
00:39 Harry was kept in the dark
00:41 about his grandmother's ailing health.
00:43 Multiple texts to William were ignored in her final hours.
00:46 And Meghan could sense she wasn't wanted
00:48 at Balmoral after the Queen's passed.
00:51 I wanna talk about Harry's book, Despair.
00:54 What did he leave out, do you think,
00:56 that would never see the light of day?
00:58 - I think the conversations about Archie and his skin color.
01:02 - There are several conversations about it.
01:03 - There's a conversation about
01:07 how dark your baby is going to be?
01:09 - Potentially, and what that would mean or look like.
01:13 - What we didn't know at the time
01:14 was that Meghan and Charles had actually
01:16 exchanged letters about those conversations.
01:19 Charles wanted to clear the air.
01:21 I was surprised to find out that it was two people
01:24 at the center of those conversations.
01:25 - Those two people are senior royals, correct?
01:28 - Senior working royals.
01:29 And I think one thing we haven't really ever gone into
01:32 is the sort of downfall of Harry and William's relationship.
01:36 How those fractured were cracked even further apart
01:39 on purpose by certain aides who wanted
01:42 to sort of rebrand William as a cut above his brother.
01:46 After years of William being called lazy and work-shy,
01:50 that a rebranding was needed.
01:52 But to do that, they often lent on comparisons
01:56 with his brother who needed to be painted
01:58 in a worse light.
02:00 - There has always been this competition between us.
02:05 - I think it helps us have a better understanding
02:08 of why Harry and Meghan felt so appalled
02:11 at the things that they were seeing,
02:13 felt so desperate to get away from it.
02:15 Because this was more than just the press was against us.
02:19 This was their own family stirring the pot with the press.
02:24 - Where does Harry stand today
02:25 in his relationship with Charles?
02:28 - There is more warmth between Harry and Meghan and Charles
02:33 than other family members.
02:34 But I was really surprised to discover
02:36 that even Meghan had been sending photos
02:39 and videos of the children to Charles.
02:41 I think it just shows that there is hope there,
02:44 perhaps for the future, at least between those two.
02:46 The next possible moment is Christmas,
02:49 Christmas at Sandringham.
02:50 So far, Harry and Meghan haven't been invited,
02:54 although some sources close to them have said
02:56 that they would be open to thinking about it.
02:59 But I think it's far too early to ever imagine a world
03:02 in which they're all gonna be together side by side
03:04 and smiling, even if it is through gritted teeth.

03:10 (bells chiming)
