00:00 Hello there, it's Martin Dempster, the Scotsman Golf Correspondent here coming to you from
00:05 the Albany Resort in the Bahamas, venue for this week's Hero World Challenge. The event
00:11 is hosted of course by Tiger Woods in aid of his foundation and the 15 time major winner
00:18 is in the field himself this week. We've not seen Tiger in action since the Masters in
00:24 April. He was forced to withdraw from that event before the third round restarted on
00:32 the Sunday and shortly afterwards he underwent ankle surgery. Since then he's been working
00:40 physically to give himself a chance to get back out here again and it's going to be fascinating
00:47 to see how he plays over the next four days. He had nine holes this morning in the Pro
00:53 Arm. There's no doubt that Tiger now walks with a limp as a consequence of the injuries
01:00 he suffered in a car crash in Los Angeles. But ball striking wise it's still a very impressive
01:07 sight to see Tiger in action and people all around the world will be fascinated just to
01:13 see how he gets on this week. Today's news however has been dominated in Europe where
01:20 it's been announced that Luke Donald, the man who led Europe to victory in the Ryder
01:26 Cup in Rome in September, has been reappointed for the 2025 match at Bethpage Black in New
01:33 York. Donald is the first repeat European captain since Bernard Gallagher in 1995 and
01:43 now he's got the opportunity to join Tony Jacklin as the only European captain to win
01:50 back to back in the Biennial event. Donald did a fantastic job in Rome and it's very
01:58 exciting for European golf that he's going to be the man at the helm again in America
02:05 in two years time and it will also be fascinating to see who he's going to face on that occasion
02:12 with Tiger Woods having been mentioned as a possible US captain. To keep up with all
02:18 golf matters either buy the Scotsman or log on to Scotsman.com.
