00:08 So we're asking the people of Lancashire today what they would miss the most on their Christmas

00:12 dinner if they couldn't have it and this is what they had to say.

00:16 Brussels sprouts, gravy, can't beat gravy, got to be swimming.

00:23 So with the sprouts how do you cook the sprouts?

00:30 Oh I don't cook.

00:32 Yeah boil.

00:33 Yeah you can't beat sprouts, I just eat them.

00:39 That's all I would live on that mashed potatoes, gravy, peas.

00:44 So the shortage of potatoes at the Seine could be a problem?

00:47 Oh definitely, my dinner won't be Seine without potatoes.

00:50 It's got to be potatoes and sprouts, lots of potatoes on Christmas dinner, I mean roast

01:08 They are, they've been getting smaller haven't they?

01:11 They've also been coming on them stalks now, but you still get them frozen.

01:21 Boil them, I don't fry them, some people do.

01:25 Some people put them in with the dinner.

01:28 No I always boil them, some people say that boiling them to death.

01:34 Get a pan, shut your sprouts in with your carrots and just put them all on together.

01:40 Brussels sprouts, they say they're really lovely.

01:44 How do you cook them?

01:47 Just boil them.

01:49 Sometimes, no I don't put them in the microwave, they go all sloppy, so I put them in a pan

01:54 and boil them.

01:55 I'd say the parsnips, I really do like roasted parsnips.
