Responsibility for humanitarian funding is “not being shared equitably” between economies worldwide, EU Commissioner for humanitarian aid Janez Lenarčič said on Tuesday as he called on rich nations to pay up.

01:30 that kind of funding for humanitarian aid,

01:34 there would be probably no funding gap,

01:37 which means there are some within the EU

01:40 and outside that are not doing their fair share,

01:47 of the OECD, so-called club of developed

01:52 or rich countries.

01:55 This group contains countries that have the capacity

02:00 and not all of them contribute in accordance

02:04 with this capacity to humanitarian aid.
