Coleraine striker David McDaid believes the Bannsiders' 1-1 draw at home to Carrick Rangers is a case of 'two points dropped' after he netted a late equaliser on the Ballycastle Road.

00:00 Davie, what's your thoughts on that one this afternoon?
00:04 Obviously at home, we think we said at the start of the season that we want them to support
00:09 us. We dropped another two points today, there's nothing else to be said about that.
00:13 Does it say in the card that maybe things weren't going our way but they did get something
00:16 from the game?
00:17 Yeah, I don't think they played overly bad. We've definitely played worse this season
00:21 than in our own games. But they sat in and made it difficult. To be fair, we did have
00:27 a couple of chances where on another day you tick. Unfortunately today, we had maybe 10
00:32 minutes to go when we scored. If you score a wee bit earlier, maybe you do make a bit
00:35 more chances. But it's down to the forwards and the attacking players to try and have
00:39 that wee bit of improvisation to score goals.
00:41 In terms of the goal, obviously Conor does well on the byline and crosses it in for you
00:44 and you're in the right place at the right time.
00:47 Yeah, as I say, the forward players are free. They have a free role. Conor, again, just
00:53 causing trouble as he always does. You don't know how he's shitting or passing. Sometimes
00:57 he gambles, sometimes he doesn't. Luckily enough today, I think it was there that he
01:01 scored.
01:02 Finally, you're going to have next week and they're in a crescendo wave with five wins
01:05 in a row.
01:07 Yeah, I think it was Stevie's first match that we were in charge. He was here against
01:12 us, maybe his second match. But they came here the last time and the first half they
01:16 were beating us 1-0. We scored really late on and they were good to end. They've won
01:19 five in a row. They're in a massive up and we really need to start getting results. Three
01:25 points matters.
01:26 Yes, Stevie, thank you.
