00:26 to storm Area 51?

00:29 I mean, they can't stop us all, right?

00:31 Or can they?

00:33 And if you did manage to get into the base,

00:36 what would you see?

00:39 This is WHAT IF,

00:41 and here's what would happen

00:42 if one million people stormed Area 51.

00:47 If you haven't heard of it before,

00:49 Area 51 is a highly classified U.S. military base.

00:54 It's heavily rumored to have secret military technology,

00:58 and perhaps aliens.

01:00 For decades, it's been the source of conspiracy theories.

01:03 But now, you want to see if any of those theories are true.

01:09 How do you get to Area 51?

01:12 It's off-limits to visitors,

01:14 so it may not be on your GPS.

01:17 But there are online guides that you'll need to use.

01:21 The closest airport is in Las Vegas.

01:24 From there, you'll have to rent a car

01:26 and drive through the southern Nevada desert

01:28 for several hours.

01:30 Keep in mind that there are going to be

01:32 one million other people doing the same thing as you.

01:35 If you think traffic in your city is bad,

01:38 just wait till you see this.

01:40 Nevada's most populated city, Las Vegas,

01:43 has less than 800,000 people living in it.

01:47 In fact, the entire state of Nevada

01:49 only has about 3 million people.

01:52 Adding another million people all at once

01:54 would seriously damage Nevada's infrastructure.

01:57 The roads to get to Area 51 aren't an eight-lane highway.

02:02 Instead, they're small two-lane roads and dirt trails.

02:06 If one million people decided to do this,

02:09 they may not even make it to the military base.

02:12 Instead, they may get stuck in traffic,

02:14 or get into an accident.

02:16 So much for seeing any aliens.

02:18 But let's imagine that everyone somehow makes it

02:21 to the front gates of the base.

02:23 Now, one million people are ready to storm Area 51.

02:29 Well, you and your friends are peaceful people,

02:32 so you wouldn't be carrying any guns.

02:34 You're just simply running into the base.

02:37 As soon as you crossed the Area 51 borders,

02:40 you'd quickly be met by the base's private security.

02:44 These people, also known as camo dudes,

02:46 have weapons in hand,

02:48 and patrol the base 24/7 in white pickup trucks.

02:52 You wouldn't be able to sneak up on any of these guys,

02:54 as they'd surely know you're coming.

02:57 And it wouldn't just be the private security trying to stop you.

03:02 the whole world would surely know,

03:03 and it would be impossible to keep it a secret.

03:06 Area 51 is a detachment of Edwards Air Force Base,

03:09 which is located in Southern California.

03:12 Thousands of active military members are stationed at Edwards.

03:16 You could expect to see them,

03:18 along with thousands of other armed soldiers and police members.

03:22 They'd have their guns, tasers, tanks, and who knows what else.

03:26 The armed forces would try to keep casualties at a minimum,

03:29 but they'd still be hitting everyone with pepper spray,

03:32 and other non-lethal weapons.

03:34 They'd still be determined to keep what's inside Area 51 a secret.

03:39 So most likely, the camo dudes and their military counterparts

03:43 would open fire on the crowds.

03:45 And they're authorized to use deadly force,

03:47 so don't be surprised if they started firing bullets.

03:51 If you're lucky enough not to get shot or pepper sprayed,

03:55 you'd get arrested.

03:56 But what if you somehow managed to sneak past all the guards?

04:02 Despite this, you still wouldn't be at the actual Area 51 base.

04:06 At least, not yet.

04:08 You'd have to find it.

04:09 That's because the original Area 51 base

04:12 occupies a space of 150 square kilometers.

04:16 But the property surrounding it is 1,600 square kilometers.

04:21 It's reported that the base is discreet,

04:24 with blacked-out windows and hardly any visible lights from the outside.

04:28 You could be walking around for hours before you found it.

04:31 But once you reached Area 51, what would you see?

04:36 Well, we're not really sure what's there,

04:39 which is what makes this so exciting.

04:41 Crazy military technology,

04:43 UFOs,

04:45 or even aliens could be lurking about.

04:49 as some suspect that the base is heavily polluted

04:52 from decades of government experiments.

04:55 If that's true,

04:56 just being in the base without proper equipment

04:59 could result in you getting sick or dying.

05:03 So storming Area 51 probably isn't a good idea.

05:10 or arrested, or dying.
