Asus ROG Ally vs AyaNeo 2S reviews
Transcript
00:00 Hey guys, so previously we pitted the Valve Steam Deck
00:03 against the Asus ROG Ally.
00:04 Today, we're gonna compare the Asus ROG Ally
00:07 against the new Aya Neo 2S.
00:11 Design-wise, both handhelds are fairly similar.
00:13 The main difference between the two when it comes to buttons
00:15 is that the Asus ROG Ally has two back buttons,
00:19 whereas the Aya Neo does not.
00:22 As for my personal preference,
00:23 I'm gonna go with the Aya Neo.
00:25 When it comes to displays,
00:26 they're not really much different,
00:27 as you can see from our internal testing.
00:29 The main difference is that the Ally
00:32 has a 1920 by 1080p screen, which is 16 by 9,
00:35 whereas the Aya Neo 2S has a 16 by 10 screen.
00:40 When it comes to performance,
00:41 you're gonna get two of the most powerful
00:43 gaming handhelds out there.
00:44 When I was playing on the Asus ROG Ally,
00:47 I found that I had to drop games to 720p
00:50 in order for the performance to be better.
00:52 The Aya Neo, same deal.
00:54 You can change the TDP on it,
00:57 but obviously that's gonna impact the battery life,
00:59 so keep that in mind.
01:00 This system starts at 1139
01:02 and it goes higher for different configurations,
01:05 whereas the Asus ROG Ally tops out at 699.
01:08 But with that said, I still recommend the Steam Deck.
01:12 Not only is it cheaper, but the OS is just great.
01:15 It's just so easy to navigate,
01:17 full compatibility with all your Steam games.
01:19 Once again, I was Tony Polanco,
01:21 and I will see you around next time.
01:22 Later.
