00:00 The decision today, we will evaluate the decision made by Arif,
00:07 who has given a very clear decision.
00:11 Not only did we win in this case, but Arif in his speech, his decision said
00:18 that the school of vernacular, not only can't be divided, but it is protected
00:28 by the state institution and its existence before independence.
00:36 So I think this is a very clear decision and we hope that this will clear up the air.
00:47 That no one else doubts the existence of this system of education for the various generations.
00:57 And it will not cause polarization like the one that was decided.
01:04 And we hope that the community is enough here, we should focus and move on.
01:10 Let's not play around with issues like this anymore. There is no issue between all of us.
01:21 This is a historic decision that has recognized the existence of Tamil schools and Chinese schools,
01:31 which are called schools of vernacular.
01:34 As it was explained that the existence of the school existed before independence,
01:40 and when the institution was abolished and implemented,
01:44 these schools continued to exist and did not need to be divided at this time.
01:50 And this existence has been guaranteed under the constitution.
01:58 So it does not need to be divided anymore.
02:01 With such strong and clear words, with such a clear and clear decision made by the court of appeal today,
02:13 we hope that the plaintiffs will not make any appeal after this.
02:19 Because it has been decided that this is the right of the institution.
02:26 And the right of the institution is one that does not need to be divided by any party.
02:34 And it will not bring any benefit to the country.
02:40 So I, as a member of the government, am very pleased with this decision.
02:51 And this is a good victory for the Ministry of Education as well.
02:56 Thank you.
02:57 [Applause]
03:00 [Silence]
