00:39 "There are friendship bracelets and I received a bunch of them being there but I wanted to

00:44 give Taylor Swift one with my number on it."

00:47 "Ooooh."

00:48 "Well, I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she

00:53 has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings.

00:57 So I was a little butt hurt."

00:58 He later issued a public invitation for the singer to join him at one of his NFL games,

01:03 and in September, she took him up on it.

01:06 "I mean, I think the secret's out.

01:08 Who's she here to see?"

01:09 Now Travis tells the mag, "There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her

01:15 corner, who said, 'Yo, did you know he was coming?'

01:18 I had somebody playing Cupid."

01:20 Travis admits that he only learned about that after he received a notification from Taylor

01:25 on his phone.

01:26 "She told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach

01:30 out."

01:31 The matchmakers?

01:32 Taylor's young cousins, who were fans of the two-time Super Bowl champion.

01:36 "She'll probably hate me for saying this, but when she came to Arrowhead, they gave

01:41 her the big locker room as a dressing room.

01:43 And her little cousins were taking pictures.

01:46 In front of my locker."

01:47 "Yeah, not gonna seem ambivalent about that at all."

01:51 Travis has previously been uncharacteristically tight-lipped about his relationship with Taylor,

01:56 and now he explains why.

01:58 "That was the biggest thing to me, make sure I don't say anything that would push Taylor

02:04 Travis adds that he's never dated someone with that kind of aura about them, but he

02:08 says he's not running away from any of it.

02:12 Travis' family members were also interviewed for the article, including his brother, Philadelphia

02:17 Eagles center Jason Kelsey, and his mom, Donna Kelsey, who gushes that her son is happier

02:23 than she's seen him in a long time.

02:26 "He likes attention, so he'll be fine.

02:28 As long as he can handle it, I don't have any problems with it.

02:34 Donna opened up about the attention surrounding Travis' new relationship on Good Morning America

02:40 "I think the attention is just part of the whole thing.

02:44 Obviously, it's a megastar, and I think Travis is embracing it as much as he can, so I think

02:52 Taylor was previously seen hanging out with Donna in a suite at Travis' game, and according

02:57 to the football pro, their deep-rooted family values are key to their connection.

03:02 "Everybody knows I'm a family guy.

03:04 Her team is her family, so I think she has a lot of those values as well, which is right

03:09 up my alley."

03:10 "I set myself up on a tee for that one."

03:12 And all that echoes what a source told ET back in September.

03:16 The two have a lot in common and have similar values.

03:20 Now Travis gushes over his leading lady, calling her both "hilarious" and "a genius."
