00:00 We've heard from sources here in Jerusalem that the deal would involve at least the release
00:05 of 50 Israeli women and children, presumably children with their mothers, that is intact
00:14 families.
00:15 That's one of the Israeli demands, as well as up to two or three dozen other foreign
00:23 nationals.
00:24 Remember, on October 7th, Hamas took many, for example, Thai workers, agricultural workers,
00:32 from the south.
00:33 So in this deal, it's a mix of both Israeli women and children and foreign nationals.
00:41 Remember, there are 40 children held by Hamas.
00:45 Now, in exchange, Israel would agree to a five-day ceasefire across Gaza, and it would
00:54 release Palestinian women and minors that are held here in Israeli jails.
01:00 Now, despite the report this morning that Hamas announcing that Qatar would announce
01:08 the deal, the details of this deal soon, it must be said that there are certain procedural
01:13 requirements here in Israel.
01:15 The cabinet has to vote on it.
01:18 There's a waiting period.
01:20 So we may hear more of the details, but actually, the deal being closed is still, just for logistic
01:29 reasons, is probably still 24 or 48 hours away.
01:33 And even perhaps Hamas has made this announcement to kind of put pressure on Israel to agree,
01:41 because the final number of Israelis and foreign nationals to be released still hasn't exactly
01:48 been set.
01:49 We know it's at least 50, but Israel wants that number much higher.
