00:00 Finally crossing to safety, these Palestinian dual nationals board a bus bound for the Egyptian
00:06 side of the Rafah crossing.
00:08 While this group of Turkish nationals set foot on safe soil, each handed a flower as
00:15 they arrive at Istanbul airport.
00:18 Meanwhile, many others have made the dangerous journey to the Rafah border crossing, waiting
00:23 close by for days or weeks in the hope of evacuation.
00:27 This mother, who holds a Jordanian passport, has been trapped in Gaza with her children
00:32 since the war broke out over six weeks ago.
00:35 We stayed in Gaza city for 33 days, close to death.
00:39 There was no water, no medication or any basic human necessities.
00:43 We got out through a safe passage.
00:46 It was terrifying.
00:47 We were surrounded by tanks.
00:48 I thought that my name was included on the list of evacuees.
00:51 But I've been on the streets for 12 days with my children.
00:55 They got sick and I had to take them to the hospital several times.
00:59 Some ambulances transporting injured Palestinians also crossed into Egypt.
01:04 The Rafah crossing is the only entry point to Gaza not controlled by Israel.
01:09 It opened on the first of November as part of a Qatar-brokered deal between Israel, Egypt,
01:14 Hamas and the US.
01:17 And dozens of injured Palestinians have since crossed through, with many more still left
01:22 waiting and hoping.
