John Blain of Toffee TV says Chelsea and Manchester United could face hefty points deductions.
Transcript
00:00 If you go with the Premier League's calculations, we lost 124 and a half
00:04 million pounds over the reporting period.
00:06 Manchester United over the most recent three year reporting period
00:11 have lost 200 million and Chelsea have lost 264 million.
00:15 So we're looking at this as the tip of the iceberg, Patrick, right?
00:20 Um, either a bit like things that have happened in the
00:24 sporting world for Everton.
00:25 The only club that ever gets punished like this way is going to be
00:28 Everton football club or two of the treacherous six who tried to
00:33 destroy the league, tried to destroy the football pyramid, who got off
00:37 with a mere slap of the wrist.
00:39 And there's no evidence by the way, when you say they were fined, that
00:42 they ever paid those fines, um, could face draconian points deductions
00:48 that minimally will stop them qualifying for Europe.
00:51 And, you know, in Chelsea's case with maybe a 30 plus point deduction,
00:56 whether it will compromise their Premier League safety at all.
00:58 Now, if that's a precedent that's this Premier League wants around the
01:04 time it's, it's seeking to, you know, enhance the brand across the world.
01:09 Um, and obviously deliver international, um, broadcast rights and the like, then
01:14 they're going about it the wrong way, in my opinion.
