00:00 I work with families that have incarcerated family members.
00:04 I might learn something from the experience of the inmates I meet.
00:08 And I'm thinking, "Did I do the right thing here? Should I have signed up for it?"

00:31 The booking was very scary to me, the booking process,
00:35 because it was the first time I had to really be this person, you know.
00:43 Of course, I knew the captain who booked me, and I knew the producers and the cameraman.
00:50 I had to be Yasmin Brown. I had to act like I was just arrested.
00:55 You know, I could tell the correctional officers and staff did not know that I was a part of the show.
01:01 And it's just the unknown of getting into this jumper, grabbing a mat.
01:09 You know, the mat had a urine smell to it, so I'm going, "Oh my gosh, this is what I'm sleeping on."
01:14 I mean, it just, you know, that whole environment and not knowing what was going to be on the other side of that place
01:22 where I would be living and walking in that door and seeing the ladies and walking in and seeing where I was going to be living for a couple months,
01:29 And this was petrifying.
