Hello, SI.
00:01
If you don't know me, I'm Sistine.
00:03
I'm a 2023 Sports Illustrated Swim rookie.
00:07
Today I'm getting ready for the day
00:09
and I figured I would just take you along with me.
00:12
Welcome to my closet.
00:18
This is where I get ready.
00:19
Having a closet in my closet apartment in New York
00:25
is honestly such a blessing.
00:28
I'm gonna show you my go-to makeup routine
00:31
when I want to wear a little bit more makeup
00:33
but still keep it kind of casual.
00:35
Also, this is how I do my bangs, every day.
00:39
This is just about it.
00:40
Obviously, how you blow dry 'em counts
00:42
but a roller will go so far if you have bangs.
00:47
Step one, moisturizer.
00:49
I am obsessed with this one,
00:51
the Superfood from You To The People.
00:54
I honestly keep my skincare to a minimum.
00:57
Like, I think less is more with skincare.
00:59
I am blessed in that I've just always had great skin
01:02
so I don't really have to do much.
01:04
My favorite thing to do though when I put on moisturizer,
01:06
just to like, A, get a face massage
01:08
'cause it feels so good.
01:10
My biggest thing is figuring out ways
01:13
to include new things into my routine that don't add steps.
01:16
Like, it's included in what I'm already doing.
01:19
I also already did this so I'm not showing it
01:23
but I also use an ice roller every morning.
01:26
That is life-changing.
01:29
Okay, next step.
01:33
Very important, sunscreen.
01:36
I'm sure a lot of you know this one, it's the Ulta MD one.
01:39
I think it went viral on TikTok.
01:41
But you get it from Amazon and it's awesome.
01:44
There's no white cast, it goes on really nice.
01:47
It doesn't like, dry out my skin,
01:50
it doesn't make it too oily.
01:51
Very important though, I always use sunscreen.
01:54
It is literally cloudy today and I'm still putting it on.
01:57
Because my skin is pretty clear,
01:58
I don't have to use a lot of foundation.
02:00
I like the Dior one.
02:01
It's the Dior Backstage.
02:04
I like it 'cause it goes on really light.
02:06
It doesn't feel like, oh, I just spilled.
02:09
Just came right out of the bottle.
02:12
That sucks.
02:14
Okay, goes on super light.
02:18
And just doesn't really feel like foundation
02:23
but I think it just like, evens everything out.
02:26
While I do this, I'm gonna talk about my,
02:32
my journey with SI a little bit.
02:35
I feel like I'm finally at a place where,
02:39
like work has slowed down finally.
02:40
We had the SI launch in May
02:44
and then we had Miami swim week in July.
02:48
And so summer was pretty crazy work wise.
02:51
I had a swimsuit line come out.
02:54
So I feel like I just took a vacation in Spain
02:57
and I'm in the middle of switching agencies.
03:00
So it's been a slow period for me right now,
03:03
which is great.
03:05
So I've been trying to focus on resting,
03:09
getting back into my routine.
03:11
And just like overall relaxing
03:16
because holiday season is my busiest season.
03:19
So I know it's about to get crazy.
03:21
So I've been enjoying the slow time.
03:23
But I do have a few things coming out pretty soon.
03:28
I actually have,
03:29
I have a column coming out with SI.
03:36
It's a dating column because this last year
03:39
I decided to go on a dating journey.
03:43
Basically my best friend and I decided to start like a bet
03:47
where we would go on a date a week.
03:49
So I'm gonna start writing about all my stories
03:52
and my experiences and what I've learned along the way
03:55
with SI on a dating column.
03:58
And I'm calling it six in the city.
04:01
I think it's genius.
04:02
My favorite part of Sports Illustrated
04:05
and being a rookie is the family.
04:07
It's brought me so many friends and family
04:09
and just people who are so kind and fun to hang around.
04:13
And that's what I love.
04:14
I'm doing brow gel next.
04:17
This is the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel.
04:21
I don't do much to my brows just because I have bangs.
04:24
Not much is happening there.
04:26
On to business.
04:27
This is my favorite palette, the Tarte Tartelette Palette.
04:32
I don't remember which one this is.
04:34
Amazonian Clay Matte Palette.
04:36
I use this almost every single day.
04:38
And I'm gonna show you what I do.
04:40
I am so not a professional makeup artist.
04:42
Take all of this with a grain of salt.
04:44
This is what works for me.
04:45
So I do like a base light brown all over.
04:49
'Cause I have blue eyes,
04:55
I feel like brown really brings out the blue.
04:58
So I, on my day to day, when I want something
05:01
like kind of on the lighter side,
05:03
like not just straight black eyeliner,
05:05
I will do brown eyeliner.
05:07
But I am not great at eyeliner.
05:09
So I use eyeshadow as my eyeliner.
05:12
So just take an angled brush,
05:16
dip it in some brown,
05:18
and then do a little baby wing.
05:24
Just like that.
05:28
Simple.
05:29
Sometimes I'll stop here,
05:31
especially if it's more like daytime chill.
05:33
So you know I live in New York.
05:38
And if I only do the top,
05:41
usually I will line my waterline with white eyeliner,
05:44
just because it makes me look more awake.
05:47
But today I'm gonna take it a little bit further
05:52
'cause I want a little bit of a darker look.
05:54
And I'm gonna bring the same brown
05:56
under my bottom waterline.
05:59
Just a little bit, like that.
06:04
Oh, and I got it in my...
06:08
[upbeat music]
06:12
Okay, there you go.
06:14
Easy.
06:14
It looks like I did a smoky eye, kind of.
06:18
If you watch my TikTok, sometimes I will do blue makeup,
06:20
and I'm essentially doing this exact same thing.
06:22
But with blue.
06:24
I usually use this blue.
06:26
So when I do my blue look, I do the exact same thing.
06:28
I just use an angled brush, whatever color you want,
06:32
and then I use blue mascara.
06:34
That's my favorite trick.
06:35
'Cause people are like, "Oh my God, your makeup's so great."
06:36
I'm like, "It's just blue eyeshadow."
06:38
I don't normally care too much
06:40
about making my eyeliner wing perfect
06:43
because I just go and fix it up with concealer.
06:48
I don't know if any of what I'm doing
06:51
is how you do makeup properly,
06:53
but this is what works for me.
06:55
Dab it in there.
06:57
And then when you get to your wing,
06:59
you just kind of like wing it out.
07:03
And then it looks like a perfect wing.
07:05
And it's just this.
07:07
And then you go and...
07:09
[upbeat music]
07:12
Fix it a little bit.
07:17
That looks like a better wing.
07:21
For mascara right now,
07:22
I've been using the Rare Beauty mascara.
07:25
Miss Lina knows what she's doing, you know?
07:34
Do my bottom.
07:35
This is my favorite makeup look.
07:38
I don't know why.
07:39
It just makes me,
07:40
it always makes me feel pretty.
07:42
Like if I just don't feel well,
07:43
I really will just do my makeup just to feel better.
07:47
I think the best thing with like a bad mood
07:49
is figuring out what puts you in a good mood
07:52
and forcing yourself to do those things
07:54
when you're in a bad mood.
07:56
You know how easy it is to listen to sad music
07:57
when you're sad?
07:59
Put on happy music.
08:01
Makes it a lot more difficult to be sad.
08:04
So that's my advice for the day.
08:07
I will say that the best advice I've ever given
08:10
and the best advice I will ever give,
08:12
especially when it comes to confidence
08:14
and like body confidence more particularly,
08:18
get naked.
08:19
Be naked.
08:20
If I could, I would do this video naked
08:22
'cause when I'm home alone,
08:25
I'm gonna be naked.
08:27
Mostly because A, it's comfortable
08:29
and B, because I think the reason
08:32
a lot of us have issues with our body
08:33
is because we avoid them
08:35
and we don't like to look at them,
08:36
we don't like to think about them
08:38
and every time we pass by a mirror,
08:39
we sit and we overanalyze
08:42
and we focus on all of the like little things
08:45
and then it just makes it more difficult.
08:48
That I think is the best advice I have ever given
08:51
and I will ever give.
08:52
Be naked.
08:54
On to the next step.
08:56
Contour.
08:57
Again.
08:58
I don't know if I'm doing this right.
08:59
I think it looks good.
09:02
This one's the Patrick Ta.
09:06
I think it looks pretty nice.
09:08
She's bronze is the color
09:11
and I like that it's cream and powder.
09:14
I think I normally stick with powder
09:15
but I'm gonna throw some cream on there, get crazy.
09:18
Oh, maybe a little bit.
09:23
Little bit down here.
09:24
Okay, final step.
09:26
Again, like I said,
09:29
Miss Selena knows what she's doing.
09:30
The Rare Beauty blush goes so hard.
09:33
This is my favorite
09:36
but it really is a little goes a long way.
09:40
This stuff, if you put any more than this,
09:42
this is even maybe too much.
09:44
I don't know why I do a little dot on my nose.
09:46
I like the red, the red nose thing.
09:50
Okay, you ready for this though?
09:51
'Cause this stuff goes on so pigmented.
09:55
Look at that, from one dot.
10:00
[upbeat music]
10:02
Voila.
10:03
And then I go back with the beauty blender,
10:07
the clean side and just kinda blend it, I think.
10:12
You need all together.
10:15
Voila.
10:17
That, that is my makeup look.
10:23
And then spray it all down.
10:27
Usually forget this step.
10:28
[upbeat music]
10:31
Lips, can't forget lips, I always forget lips.
10:34
If I could only have one skincare product ever,
10:40
like if I was in the desert stuck
10:42
and I needed one thing, it would be aquifer.
10:45
Preferably the gel form.
10:47
I don't love this one as much.
10:49
I like the gel.
10:50
But my God, my aquifer, I can't live without it.
10:56
And then I'm gonna do, my favorite lipstick is,
11:00
it's a little beat up.
11:01
I have a new one, I just don't know what it is.
11:03
Laura Mercier Beige in Time.
11:06
It's my favorite color, look at that.
11:09
Do a little bit of that.
11:12
Take all of this out.
11:23
That is my go-to day-to-day makeup routine.
11:27
I hope you enjoyed watching and chatting with me.
11:30
So yeah, thanks so much.
