00:06 If you want to get the Horizon Power Armor, there's good news.
00:09 The shield armor has carried over from Zero Dawn.
00:12 But, the bad news, it's not the best armor in the game anymore.
00:15 Because technically it's not armor, it's actually a skill you unlock.
00:19 I'll explain how to unlock it and how to get the best armor in the game,
00:22 which now goes to the legendary Oseram Artificer Armor.
00:26 To get the Horizon Forbidden West Power Armor, all you need to do is drop enough XP points into the Survivor skill tree.
00:33 Rather than a separate piece of kit you have to find,
00:35 the Horizon Power Armor now loops among your unlockable skills as the second Survivor Valor Surge you can access.
00:42 These Valor Surges are basically equipable special powers triggered by pressing L1 and R1 together.
00:48 The Valor that powers everything is gained by doing certain moves, like killing machines in a special way.
00:54 You can also unlock complementary skills that will earn you additional Valor to power it up faster,
00:59 like getting extra Valor every time you get hit, for example.
01:03 It'll still take you a while to get to the Horizon Power Armor ability in the tree,
01:07 as you'll need to unlock enough skills not only to reach the Power Armor,
01:11 but also to unlock all the skills around it, which will finally let you use the skill.
01:16 You can also level up the armor three times.
01:18 At full power, it'll have a shield strength of 400, deflecting 20% of incoming damage,
01:23 and exploding on depletion to deal shock damage.
01:26 It will also last as long as your Valor does, so no matter how many times it's depleted,
01:31 it'll just keep recharging while you have the Valor to power it, so keep killing things.
01:36 So, now that the best armor in the previous game is an unlockable skill, what is the best armor in Forbidden West?
01:42 That would be the Oseram Artificer, and in order to obtain it,
01:46 it requires completing the salvage contracts that you'll find in the game.
01:50 First up, you'll want to find Karuf. He's the leader of the salvage hunters,
01:53 and has challenged his crew to enter a competition to see who can make the best armor.
01:58 Very helpful. With Karuf is Lorend, who gives you your first contract of salvage to hunt.
02:02 Next, you'll need to find the other three salvage hunters, who are dotted around the Forbidden West.
02:07 You'll find them at the locations shown here.
02:10 Like Lorend, everyone will give you a selection of salvage contracts to complete,
02:14 with each requiring a very specific selection of machine parts to complete.
02:18 Do make sure to check the contract before you start taking down machines,
02:22 as you may need to remove certain parts first.
02:25 Make sure to scan each target with your focus, then use the 'Tag Part' feature
02:30 to highlight the bit you need to knock off in pink.
02:32 That should make it easier to dial in on your mechanical target.
02:35 So, once you've completed all the salvage contracts, head back to where Lorend is based,
02:40 which will be highlighted by the quest itself.
02:42 And thus, the Oseram Artificer armor is born.
02:45 This is the best armor in the game, and the only legendary armor.
02:48 It's a warrior-type armor, which gives you buffs to your power attack,
02:52 resonator-related abilities, and your valor surge.
02:55 Combine this with the overshield valor surge we showed you how to get earlier,
03:00 and you will make Aloy a walking tank.
