The trailer reveals that a massive time jump has taken place following the War for the Planet of the Apes, with Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes following a developed yet fragmented ape civilization at war with itself.
The Kingdom of The Planet of The Apes trailer boasts several hints about the state of the apes’ world following the prequel trilogy. Several generations have passed since Caesar’s time, and the planet is beginning to resemble that of 1968’s original Planet of the Apes movie.
