A number of flats in Harold Road, Hastings, lost their gas supply following heavy rain and flooding on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Video by Philip Gardiner.

00:04 All of the gas meters were flooded the other day.

00:06 You can see where the water was up there.

00:09 The river has gonna be bursting its banks,

00:11 has burst its banks.

00:13 I'm not sure where the river was now,

00:17 all bit our housing association.

00:27 So all of our gas meter, it's quite deep,

00:32 as you can see, it's about a foot.

00:33 Whoa, no, look, that's how deep it is.

00:38 It is flooded, our gas meters, every gas meter is broken.

00:46 They have said the gas engineer will be coming out

00:52 next week, next week.

00:54 As you can see, this is how deep it is.
