Ant Group has received approval from the Chinese government to release artificial intelligence products powered by its "Bailing" large language model to the public in China. Unlike some other countries, China requires companies to submit security assessments and obtain clearance before making AI products available publicly. In September, Ant Group unveiled a finance-specific AI model and started testing consumer and professional apps using these products. The approval allows Ant Group, which is affiliated with Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, to make its AI technologies more widely available in China.
