Claire Coutinho: It is really important we do not disrupt people's memories on Armistice Day

The Government on Monday said any pro-Palestinian protest on Armistice Day this weekend would be "out of touch" with British culture as the Met police look into banning a planned march. Cabinet minister Claire Coutinho said: "I think people should think very carefully about it." The Palestine Solidarity Campaign, organisers of Saturday's planned demonstration, has pledged to avoid the Whitehall area where the Cenotaph and focus of Armistice Day is located.
