Pope Francis calls for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war

  • last year
During the Angelus prayer on Sunday, Nov. 5 in Vatican City, Pope Francis calls again for an end to the fighting between Israel and the Palestinians, and for the provision of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

"I continue to think about the grave situation in Palestine and Israel, where so many people have lost their lives," he tells the throng gathered in St Peter's Square. "I beg you, in God's name, to stop, to have a ceasefire," he added. (Video Courtesy of AFPTV)
