01:20 Left-wing Governor VK Saxena held a meeting with Environment Minister Gopal Rai amid severe
01:25 air pollution in the city on Friday, in which a decision was taken to appeal neighbouring
01:29 states, particularly Punjab, to check paddy stubble burning.
01:34 The government will also adopt interim measures like issuing advisories by the Environment
01:38 Department, asking people, especially children and the elderly, to take extra care and remain
01:42 indoors as far as possible, preparedness by the Health Department, and optimal use of
01:47 mechanised road sweepers, water sprinklers, and anti-smog guns.
01:53 The strict implementation of the Graded Response Action Plan on the ground was also decided
