00:23surely the mission of Doge will continue and many Doge employees are now
00:27political appointees and employees of our government and to the best of my
00:31knowledge all of them intend to stay and continue this important work.
00:35President Trump was asked what he thought about Elon Musk's claim that the big
00:39beautiful bill increases the budget deficit and undermines the work of Doge and
00:45the president didn't actually comment on those remarks he just talked about the
00:49need to support the bill so what does the president think about what Elon Musk said?
00:54Well the president is very proud of the one big beautiful bill and he wants to see
00:58it pass he wants the Senate to get to work on it and send it to his desk as
01:02quickly as possible. Of course as you know Elon Musk announced last night his
01:06departure as an official special government employee from the Trump
01:09administration we thank him for his service we thank him for getting Doge off
01:13of the ground and the efforts to cut waste fraud and abuse will continue.
01:17So he doesn't have any comment about Musk saying it adds to the deficit and it
01:22undermines all his work? The president commented on this I commented on it I
01:26told you that this bill saves 1.6 trillion dollars according to the Council of
01:31Economic Advisors and the analyses that the president believes in so he gave a
01:35comment I give a comment just because you don't like that comment doesn't mean
01:38it's not a comment. Elon Musk is leaving do you have an updated leadership
01:42structure for who is leading the group is rest vote involved and what is its new
01:47mission now if any? Well the entire cabinet is involved and I spoke to the
01:52president about it this morning and the entire cabinet understands the need to cut
01:56government waste fraud and abuse and each cabinet secretary at their respective
02:00agencies is committed to that that's why they were working hand-in-hand with Elon
02:03Musk and they'll continue to work with the respective Doge employees who have
02:07onboarded as political appointees at all of these agencies. So surely the
02:11mission of Doge will continue and many Doge employees are now political
02:15appointees and employees of our government and to the best of my
02:19knowledge all of them intend to stay and continue this important work. Is there a
02:23Doge leader taking the place of Mr. Musk? Well again the Doge leaders are each and
02:27every member of the president's cabinet and the president himself who is
02:30wholeheartedly committed to cutting waste fraud and abuse from our government.
