00:00 me everything you know about MJ Morris, quarterback of NC state, because you've
00:05 watched him a lot more than I have.
00:07 And do you think that pass rush can rattle him this week?
00:10 I know MJ from his high school days in Atlanta.
00:13 He was pretty highly recruited kid, pretty thin athletic.
00:16 He's been thrown into the lineup.
00:18 Uh, obviously Brendan Armstrong, that was weird.
00:22 I thought he was going to turn it up there.
00:24 He's got, he's got a little worse every year, Brendan Hart.
00:26 I don't know what's going on there.
00:28 I don't, something's goofy, physically talented and competitive kid, but whatever.
00:32 Now they've got MJ in there and he's not ready, but he's next in line.
00:37 Well, Miami is if I remember right ninth in the country, rush
00:41 defense or whatever, they're close.
00:43 And sacks is similar.
00:45 How well is MJ going to do with a mediocre offensive line?
00:49 I'm seeing him play three, four times and it's second, eight consistently.
00:53 Are they going to be able to run the ball in Miami's front?
00:57 Do they have a dynamic running back?
00:59 No.
00:59 Do they have a dynamic receiving course?
01:01 No.
01:02 Again, I don't think it's a good fit and they could certainly
01:07 have a play, they get on a bust.
01:08 I would be wary of trick plays, et cetera, but otherwise they're not going to go
01:14 eight, nine, 10, 11, 12 play drives and punch it.
01:18 They're just not, they haven't been that team all year.
01:21 They have struggled against numerous teams.
01:23 I mean, Louisville kept them down.
01:26 Louisville's defense is okay.
01:27 They're aggressive, but I mean, it's nothing special.
01:30 Miami's is same kind of deal, but more experienced.
01:33 And what I think is good at defense coordinators in the country.
01:36 I think MJ's in for a very, very long game against the Miami hurricanes.
01:40 Yeah.
01:40 And from a Miami standpoint, and I kind of reacted this way, the hurricanes, by
01:45 the way, fan dual odds have Miami is four and a half point favorites.
01:48 I was a little bit surprised when I first saw that considering, you know,
01:52 my Miami just by the skin of their teeth beat Virginia at home.
01:57 Now they go on the road to what seems to be on paper, a better team than
02:01 Virginia and NC state Miami's favored by four and a half, but I think it's
02:04 probably what you just talked about, Brian, because you know, certain
02:07 matchups are everything.
02:08 And when you look at the sack and the pressure numbers that Miami are putting
02:13 up against, as you said, a mediocre offensive line and a quarterback, that's
02:17 just not ready to me, like the X factor is.
02:21 Are Miami going to shoot themselves in the foot, which they've done in their
02:24 losses in some of these close games, right?
02:26 I mean, if, if Tyler Van Dyke goes out there and throws three interceptions,
02:29 that may completely wipe out the advantages you have on the defensive line.
02:34 So, I mean, if Miami can take care of the football, like you said, that's
02:37 a big time matchup to exploit.
02:38 The only concern I have is what you talked about.
02:42 If you have a young quarterback, his defense and his running
02:46 game are his best friends.
02:47 However, hypothetically, if Miami's up 10 to nothing after the first quarter
02:51 and you're doing like, uh, what do we do here?
02:56 Because at some point you've got to start throwing the ball, you know, is
03:02 it after halftime, whatever, and are they going to be able to pass block
03:05 against Miami's four man rush?
03:06 Let alone the blitz pressures.
03:08 I mean, Francisco and those guys do a nice job with that.
03:11 I just don't think they can screw up in the first quarter.
03:15 I mean, you can't tell Tyler not to throw the ball, but unless they turn
03:18 it over and just have like a pick six or something like that, if you're up
03:22 at any point in the first half and get to 10 point lead, it's going
03:26 to be really hard for that kid.
03:27 He's not ready for what Miami has on defense.
03:30 And that's just a challenge he has.
03:32 It's a very bad matchup for NC State's offense.
