A man was filmed climbing onto a house roof during a police drugs raid - then being stretchered away after apparently falling off.

The male was seen emerging out of a skylight as officers began forcibly entering the house below during a bust, student news site The Tab reports.

He then appears to run along rooftops away from the police as they entered the ''cannabis factory'' at 1:30pm yesterday (31/10),.

Footage of the incident, on Cranbrook Street in Cathays, Cardiff, shows police officers yelling at the man to 'get down'.

It then shows two ambulances at the scene, where paramedics can be seen lifting an injured man on a stretcher.

Eye witnesses told The Cardiff Tab that the man had fallen off the roof and into the back garden of a property a couple of houses down from the raid.

The man immediately received treatment from the waiting paramedics and police confirmed that his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening or changing.

A resident of Cranbrook Street who lived only a couple of houses down from the incident said: “Police climbed over our garden wall, and were looking in our garden for drugs.”

South Wales Police told The Cardiff Tab: “South Wales Police can confirm a cannabis factory has today been found at a house in Cranbrook Street, Cathays, and one man has been taken to hospital.

“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening nor life changing. Enquiries are on-going.”
