Israel warned against preventing relief to Gaza  International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Karim A. Khan warns that obstructing relief supplies could be a crime under the court's jurisdiction. Since the October 7 attack by Hamas on Israel, over 8,000 Palestinians, including many children, have been killed in retaliatory Israeli bombardments, as reported by Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry. 00:06 and any crimes committed on the territory of Palestine and any crimes committed whether it's

00:13 by Israel on Palestine or whether it's acts committed on the territory of Palestine

00:18 or from Palestine into Israel and this includes current events in Gaza and also current events

00:28 in the West Bank. Hostage taking represents a great breach to the Geneva Conventions, it represents a

00:34 specific offence under the Rome Statute and I call for the immediate release of all hostages

00:41 taken from Israel and for their safe return to their families.

00:48 Impeding relief supplies as provided by the Geneva Conventions may constitute a crime

00:56 within the court's jurisdiction and I want to underline clearly to Israel that there must

01:03 be discernible efforts without further delay to make sure civilians receive basic food, medicine,

01:11 anaesthetics, morphine. So this morning I saw trucks

01:21 full of goods, full of humanitarian assistance, stuck where nobody needs them,

01:28 stuck in Egypt, stuck on Rafa and away from the hungry mouths or the bleeding wounds.

01:37 These supplies must get to the civilians of Gaza without delay. In this regard I have to say that

01:46 Israel has clear obligations in relation to its war with Hamas, not just moral obligations but

01:55 legal obligations to comply with the laws of armed conflict.
