This bike is obviously going after the BMW GS Adventure and the bigger KTM Super Adventure.

This is probably the best multi-strata I've ever ridden by a landslide.

We're here in Silverton, Colorado. We've just spent a couple days on Ducati's brand new
00:29
multi-strata V4 Rally. What Ducati will tell you about this multi-strata is it's the most
00:35
electronically advanced bike in the entire Ducati lineup. More so than the Superbikes,
00:40
more so than Streetfighters, more so than any other product in their line. The multi-strata
00:45
can really do everything, and you hear that all the time, but this bike really can do
00:50
that stuff. And the key to it is the modes and the traction control and all the engine
00:56
braking and all the stuff that this bike has. It's got the ability to conform to any type
01:01
of road that you're on. So we spend a lot of time on the asphalt and set up some sport
01:05
modes, but then in the flick of a button you can go in and switch it to Enduro. So we would
01:11
go off-road from the highway, one flick of the switch, but I pretty much bounce back
01:17
and forth between the Sport and the Enduro. With the Skyhook suspension, you get the whole
01:22
package when you make that switch. The second you come back onto the highway, you hit Sport,
01:27
firms everything up, you feel the bike get nice and taut again, and it completely transforms
01:32
this bike into something completely different. Some of the passes that we did in the past
01:37
two days, set it up in the Enduro mode, the suspension was awesome, get the traction controls
01:43
dialed in where you want it, the ABS is completely dialed for that sort of situation, and I was
01:49
really shocked at how capable this bike was. But another cool thing that I really like
01:53
about the Ducati Electronics right now, this is the easiest bike to get into the Electronics
02:00
and interact with. You can, in a couple flicks, with this new jockey toggle here, change your
02:06
parameters. They don't have a custom user mode, because every mode is customizable.
02:12
So you can go in and customize your Sport, you can go in and customize your Enduro mode,
02:17
you can do your Touring, your Urban, get those all set up, and then when you turn off the
02:22
key, when you cycle the bike, and go back to that, it's still there. All your settings
02:26
are held, which some bikes will go back to a default. That's a really cool thing. As
02:30
far as creature comforts, the bike comes with these nice pannier bags, they're really large,
02:36
they held up completely for the stuff that we did the past two days. Lots of rocky off-road
02:42
in there, in great shape. You've got a nice windshield that's super easy to adjust. The
02:47
mirrors on this bike are so good. You set up the mirrors and you're not looking at your
02:51
elbows, you can really see from both mirrors, they're slightly angled so that you can see
02:57
the person behind you in both mirrors, which on most adventure bikes, or sport bikes, or
03:02
anything, you just are looking at elbows, so that was really impressive. Another cool
03:06
thing that I was impressed with on this bike is the quick shifter. So the quick shifter
03:11
has algorithms that will adjust based on what gear you're in, what RPM you're at, and so
03:18
even in the low gears, when you're making that one-two shift, or the two-one shift more
03:22
so, the timing is different based on the speed and the RPM you're at. So it works really,
03:28
really good. Most quick shifters, you know, the top three gears are really seamless, but
03:33
this thing just works fantastically across the board. You know, overall, after a couple
03:38
of days of riding this bike, the thing has such excellent composure, the suspension's
03:43
great, the electronics give you confidence to just do whatever you want to do, and then
03:47
if you want to eat up some miles, you've got heated seat, you've got heated grips, you've
03:51
got radar-enabled cruise control, so this bike really can do it all. It really fits
03:56
the bill of a do-everything motorcycle, and I'll give Ducati a lot of credit. You know,
04:01
this V4 engine is absolutely awesome. Overall, such a great package. Ducati's really stepped
04:07
it up. This bike is obviously going after the BMW GS Adventure and the bigger KTM Super
04:14
Adventure. It'll be nice to get these into a comparison test and see how they stack up,
04:19
because this is probably the best multi-strata I've ever ridden by a landslide. Thanks for
04:24
watching, and as always, like, comment, and subscribe.
