00:00 It's very exciting and an honor to be here.

00:06 And for all of you guys to organize this,
00:09 it's a great thing.
00:10 Coming inside, it feels like a movie premiere.

00:14 It feels like in the animation and VFX conference.

00:20 I started off doing a VFX course.
00:24 I had one script.
00:26 So I thought, a VFX course, I can come off to Hyderabad
00:29 and make off this movie.
00:30 Obviously, it wasn't that easy.
00:32 And I came.
00:34 And with my little knowledge, I went to a few studios.
00:37 And I was asking whether it was possible to do
00:40 certain kinds of VFX, which was some sort of morphing
00:43 into an animal.
00:44 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
00:46 And they were just like, hi, you're just assistant director.
00:49 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
00:50 We'll figure it out slowly.
00:52 And I actually was sort of involved in VFX
00:56 in every movie I assisted on.
00:57 And as I worked--
00:59 and most of the people in family functions
01:01 [NON-ENGLISH SPEECH]
01:04 Like, you know, Hollywood-like, why don't we
01:06 get that kind of a quality?
01:07 And that's usually the first question that people ask.
01:10 And I'd be like, yeah, you know, it's budget.
01:13 It's this.
01:14 It's that.
01:14 And all of that.
01:15 And slowly, over the past 10 years,
01:18 it's very amazing that our quality has caught up.
01:23 And now, not only have we some of the best studios,
01:27 and even some of our work--
01:29 Hollywood studios have come and started working here.
01:33 Our movies have gone across the world.
01:35 And Kek, I wanted-- actually, I started
01:39 off wanting to do all the VFX in India,
01:42 like very, very ambitious thought.
01:44 I thought we'll do everything, make in India type of [NON-ENGLISH
01:46 SPEECH]
01:47 But we still are doing a big part of it in India.
01:50 But I think after events like this,
01:53 and after people meeting like this, brains meeting like this,
01:56 I think maybe the next movie we can all do fully in India
02:00 and be better than Hollywood.
