Biden Secures Netanyahu's Approval for Gaza Aid Delivery
  • 6 months ago
The White House said Israeli PM Netanyahu agreed to allow a continuous flow of international aid into Gaza from Egypt during a call with President Biden. 20 trucks of UN aid entered Gaza on Saturday, 15 more on Sunday. Aid was checked by Israel before entering. The US announced the aid delivery after Biden pushed for it during his Israel visit. He warned Hamas not to interfere with distribution. Biden and Netanyahu also talked about efforts to release the remaining American hostages held in Gaza. Biden also discussed the Israel-Hamas conflict in a joint call with leaders of major Western powers. They reiterated support for Israel's right to self-defense while urging the protection of civilians.
