00:00 seeing that in person.
00:01 Such a beautiful car, such a beautiful build.
00:03 The four-roader dream.
00:04 It's a great day to be a Mazda owner.
00:07 (laughs)
00:09 - Hey, I'm Jeff Hammer with Motor Trend.
00:14 We're here today at the Motor Trend office.
00:15 We got a crazy event going on.
00:17 Mazda's here, subscribers, influencers,
00:20 come check it out.

00:26 - This is nuts, okay?
00:35 This is the Halfie.
00:36 It's a Mazda Miata MX-5.
00:38 It's a half road car and a half track car.
00:41 It's got a cool color scheme.
00:42 I love it.
00:43 I'm gonna try and see if I can sit in it later.

00:48 This is it.
00:50 The 767B.
00:52 As you can see, it's got this iconic charge livery on it.
00:54 That's chassis O2.
00:57 This is the kind of car that even makes our president
00:59 into a little kid again.
01:00 Its first race was a Fuji 1000 kilometers,
01:03 which it won in its class.
01:05 Beautiful Mazda speed.
01:07 In Japanese, it's Matsuda Supido.
01:09 I like how it's got all the little bits of pebbles
01:12 that have been chipped up onto it.
01:13 This is my kind of car.

01:20 So this event was kind of crazy,
01:29 brainchild between Mazda, Motor Trend,
01:30 Super Street, and myself.
01:32 To have an event here, to have our cars here,
01:34 and then to have, of course, the 767B here is a dream.
01:37 - My name's Hurt.
01:38 I drive a Mazda RX-7.
01:41 I actually bought it with a blown up V8 in it.
01:43 Many years later, it's got a 13B turbo in it,
01:45 making almost 500 horsepower.
01:48 Today, it's a really cool event.
01:49 Just all Mazda-centered people who love 13Bs, RX-7s,
01:53 Miatas, but most importantly, the 767B.
01:56 Seeing that in person, I don't care who you are.
01:58 Everybody here wants a Ford.
02:00 - Everybody thinks Mazda, they think rotary.
02:02 767, it's iconic.
02:04 It is the whole name behind Mazda.
02:07 - I saw on Instagram you guys posted
02:10 saying that you guys were doing an event.
02:12 Used to watch on YouTube,
02:13 and then you guys did the on-demand.
02:14 - I didn't subscribe immediately,
02:16 so I subscribed, and I'm happy with the decision.
02:19 - This is my first time at Motor Trend.
02:21 Seeing the 767B in person is amazing.
02:24 You know, I don't know, I love how unique the engine is.
02:27 I love the high revving RPMs,
02:29 and just the way that that engine drives.
02:31 I love the cult following around it as well.
02:33 I think it's amazing.
02:35 - You know, everyone wants to see a 767B in person.
02:38 It's good to be able to see things up close, you know?
02:39 This is more low-key event, less people.
02:42 You can, it's nice.
02:44 - I subscribed because they had the other event
02:46 with the Nissan R390.
02:48 I was like, all right, cool.
02:49 And then I just stuck with the subscription the whole time.
02:51 - I saw being up close to it,
02:53 see the lines, the engineering behind it.
02:57 The fact that the car has the road rush from being raced,
03:00 you can actually see with your eyes
03:02 the little like rock chips and tire pieces
03:05 all around the car.
03:06 And I think that's the soul.
03:09 - Thank you to the subscribers.
03:10 Thanks to Mazda for bringing out this 767B,
03:13 chassis '02.
03:14 - Thanks for watching.
03:15 I'm Jeff Hammer.
03:16 See you next time.
