00:00 My adventure with sport started with a bike trip with my dad,

00:09 with running skis, and I've always loved sport.

00:15 It was something that made me very happy.

00:19 But when I was a teenager, we went to Tequondo with a friend,

00:24 and that's how it started.

00:26 But did I have the motivation to achieve success?

00:30 When I started my career, I didn't even dare to dream of being a champion of Poland,

00:35 and not only a champion of Europe or a champion of the world,

00:38 and that in two disciplines.

00:40 So it was a side effect of my passion.

00:44 I just loved this sport.

00:46 I fell in love at first sight with the energy,

00:48 with what this sport represented to me,

00:51 and I just signed up for the club.

00:53 And that's how it went.

00:55 I had huge success, but the truth is that I put a lot of work into it,

01:00 because nothing happens by itself.

01:02 But paradoxically, the first title of the world champion was the easiest one for me.

01:08 It's much harder to keep it later.

01:11 When it comes to young people today, how to motivate them,

01:16 I think it's a problem for all of us,

01:21 because we're looking for motivation and inspiration outside,

01:24 but if we don't find it in ourselves,

01:27 nothing outside will work for us for a long time.

01:30 So it has to be this fire that each of us will find in ourselves,

01:34 each of us will burn it in us.

01:37 You just have to have the courage to believe in yourself,

01:40 in your potential, and just follow it.

01:44 It's so simple, but basically it's hellishly difficult,

01:48 especially since we often hear that we're not good enough,

01:53 that we're not complete,

01:56 that we're not like someone we see on the front pages of newspapers or on TV.

02:06 But it doesn't matter.

02:08 Did you do more sports or did you have to sacrifice a little bit?

02:15 I don't see my sports career as giving, taking.

02:21 I think it was an interesting path,

02:24 thanks to which I'm the person I am today,

02:29 so I don't see it in those categories.

02:33 Being an athlete brought me great joy,

02:37 of course, this joy was literally filled with tears,

02:42 literally with blood, because sports bring it to you,

02:47 and with hard work.

02:49 Was it worth it? Yes, it was.

02:51 I heard that one of your passions is riding,

02:55 and I heard that you buy some of your riding equipment in a pleasure.

03:02 No, unfortunately, riding is my great passion,

03:07 but I haven't been riding for a long time.

03:10 But yes, I know that there are great saddles in Plešev.

03:14 It just so happened that I've been riding in a Plešev saddle a few times,

03:20 but when I was doing sports,

03:24 I had a different company,

03:28 but I associate Plešev very well with horses and riding.
