01:24 In some ways, why Jimmy Chin and Chai Vasarely are really the perfect choice as directors.

01:33 Jimmy and Chai have been amazing. It's our first narrative film,

01:36 so it's different than doing a documentary, but I think in some ways it's fun for them

01:40 because they can actually orchestrate things.

01:43 They understand the survival mentality of somebody who wants to prove themself over and over again.

01:50 Jimmy famously climbing every mountain, skiing Everest and Denali and going to Antarctica

01:56 and all that crazy stuff.

01:57 We definitely wanted to bring a really cinematic experience that felt visceral.

02:04 I think we felt like we could bring a level of authenticity to it.

02:08 It's so empowering and allows you to transcend.

02:12 I'm not waiting a year and training again.

02:14 It's too dangerous, Diana.

02:16 Like marathon swimming, you're in your own head for so long.

02:18 It becomes very clear that she needed these people, this incredible team.

02:23 And I'm really proud of how Annette has brought this character to life.

02:28 Annette's commitment, like she trained for a year.

02:31 If she was going to play it, she was going to do the work.

02:33 And Jodi similarly was a complete, a consummate professional.

02:38 Bonnie and I are both over the moon that these are the two actresses playing us.
