Malaysia, China to sign MoUs in creative industry, cyber security

Malaysia and China will sign several memorandums of understanding (MOU) to strengthen bilateral relations, including in the fields of content production and cyber security, says Fahmi Fadzil.  The Communications and Digital Minister told a press conference after opening the fifth Asean-China Media Week here Saturday (Oct 21) that the bilateral meetings also discussed efforts to strengthen cooperation in media, broadcasting, news exchange and creative industries. 00:35 I was invited to Beijing to hold a work visit

00:44 and meet with several of my counterparts in Beijing.

00:53 I was informed that the Ministry of Communication and Digital

00:58 has several different ministries or departments in China.

01:03 So we will hold a series of meetings with several parties.

01:07 I was also invited to meet with Indop or the mother company

01:19 of the company that is developing the social media platform TikTok in China.

01:25 I am very excited about this visit and I believe it will help us

01:33 to understand a few things about the TikTok application, including TikTok Shop.

01:38 So I will discuss what we can do to hold a visit soon.
