Palestinian-Irish man shelters 90 people in Gaza home

Ibrahim Alagha, who is a Palestinian-Irish man, has invited a number of his friends and relatives into his home in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza strip, placing a roof over the heads of some 90 people. 00:27 We took a very risky journey to the border.

00:30 But once we got there, we got a second call telling us

00:33 we have to turn back, go back home,

00:36 because the border will not open.

00:38 That happened last Saturday, and we're still

00:40 waiting until now for any updates.

00:46 The guys went since the morning.

00:52 They're running out, trying to get, as you see,

00:54 falafel, tomato, and bread.

00:56 It's very challenging.

00:57 We consider ourselves quite lucky today

00:59 to find them in a reasonable time.

01:05 When an explosion happens or when

01:11 there's any target around us that's been hit,

01:16 they're always screaming.

01:18 They're always frightened.

01:20 They can hear and feel us with all the frustration.

01:25 So it's very difficult. And especially mentally,

01:29 I think they will need a lot of support mentally

01:31 after this war finishes.
