00:34 And when you are among them and establish prayer for them,
00:47 let there be a party of them with you, and let them take their weapons.
01:08 [Prayer]
01:22 How are you ladies and gentlemen?
01:24 We meet again in My Quran Time, Quran Salat Imfaq today.
01:27 Together we are re-reading page 95 and 96 which we have studied.
01:34 We have tried to observe each verse from this verse.
01:38 And today we want to see again how these verses become guidance in our daily life.
01:45 From Surah An-Nisa verse 102 to verse 113 together with our panel today,
01:52 Al-Fadil Ustaz Dr. Arif Musa. How are you?
01:54 Alhamdulillah.
01:55 Ahlan wa sahlan.
01:56 Alhamdulillah.
01:57 And also Sa'ad Tir, how are you?
01:58 Alhamdulillah.
01:59 Alhamdulillah.
02:00 Alhamdulillah. We want to delve into today's verse 102 which was read earlier.
02:05 The verse is long but we ask Allah SWT to guide us,
02:11 to give us knowledge and wisdom with the prayer of Subhanakallah.
02:14 [Prayer]
02:22 Together we see verse 102,
02:24 a verse related to the prayer of Khawth,
02:26 the prayer of fear when in the battlefield.
02:29 And speaking of the battlefield and at the end of verse 102,
02:33 Allah says,
02:34 [Prayer]
02:38 Indeed, Allah has prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating torment.
02:44 Then we are together with Al-Fadil Ustaz Dr. Arif to explain this verse.
02:47 When speaking of the battlefield and at the end of it,
02:49 it is said,
02:50 [Prayer]
02:52 If it was people before,
02:53 the torment might be,
02:54 [Prayer]
02:55 for example,
02:56 [Prayer]
02:57 or,
02:58 but why is the battle related to the humiliating torment in verse 102?
03:02 Please.
03:03 [Prayer]
03:13 Al-Fadil Ustaz Dr. Fazrul has brought a question which is quite good,
03:18 where we try to dig into the secret behind the use of the word 'muhina'.
03:23 Before this, we have the torment as you have mentioned,
03:27 'sayha',
03:28 or a scream,
03:29 or the torment in a flood.
03:31 But in this verse,
03:32 there is a term used,
03:34 which is 'adha'l ban muhina'.
03:37 To understand the justification of the use of this word,
03:42 we need to look at this verse in its entirety first.
03:46 Where this verse tells,
03:48 as you have explained,
03:50 it tells about the prayer of fear.
03:52 The prayer of fear is the prayer which we perform when we are in the battlefield.
03:57 So, there are certain rules which are unique.
04:00 The rules are quite unique if we pay attention to the rules of the prayer of fear.
04:06 Then, when we look at the rules of the prayer of fear,
04:08 and behind it, Allah SWT says,
04:10 [Prayer]
04:12 and,
04:13 [Prayer]
04:15 or,
04:16 in other translations,
04:18 we can say,
04:19 [Prayer]
04:22 which means, 'beware'.
04:24 The enemy may come at any time.
04:26 So, when this verse ends with,
04:28 [Prayer]
04:30 so, the fear will enter the hearts of the believers,
04:34 that their enemy is very strong.
04:37 Their enemy is very strong,
04:39 in the sense that,
04:41 up to a certain level,
04:43 we need to have a certain prayer to face them.
04:47 And not only that prayer,
04:49 we even need to be careful.
04:51 How many times Allah SWT says,
04:53 [Prayer]
04:56 which means, 'beware'.
04:58 So, the fear may enter the hearts of the believers,
05:02 that their enemy is very strong,
05:04 and we need to be careful.
05:06 Whereas,
05:08 the believers,
05:10 their protector is Allah SWT.
05:14 So, here Allah SWT says,
05:15 [Prayer]
05:17 'Be careful'.
05:19 'Be careful'.
05:21 But,
05:22 [Prayer]
05:26 Allah has prepared for the disbelievers,
05:29 a humiliating torment.
05:32 'Humiliating torment' is a common word.
05:36 So, it includes the torment in this world,
05:39 and also the torment in the hereafter.
05:41 When we say that,
05:42 the torment in this world,
05:43 the interpreters of tafsir say,
05:45 there are three possible scenarios.
05:48 The first one is,
05:49 they will die.
05:51 So, the torment that is mentioned,
05:53 includes they will die in the war.
05:55 The second one is,
05:56 they will be killed in the war.
05:58 The third one is,
05:59 they will be arrested as a punishment.
06:01 That is one of the torments in this world.
06:03 The torment in the hereafter is not yet included.
06:06 So,
06:07 when we as,
06:08 let's say,
06:09 the army at that time,
06:10 we hear,
06:11 [Prayer]
06:14 it means that we understand,
06:15 it is a motivation for us.
06:17 That we know,
06:18 even though we have the rule of 'surat khauf',
06:20 even though we are ordered to take care,
06:24 but at the same time,
06:25 we realize that Allah will help the believers.
06:30 Allah will give victory to the believers.
06:33 So, the believers at that time,
06:35 even though they are in a state of taking care,
06:37 but at the same time,
06:38 they are not afraid.
06:39 Because we are afraid when we are taking care.
06:41 But they are taking care when they are calm,
06:43 they realize that the protection comes from Allah.
06:48 So, this is one interesting thing.
06:50 It means that,
06:52 taking care,
06:53 but at the same time,
06:54 calm.
06:55 Those are two attitudes that need to be in the army.
06:59 It means,
07:00 don't let the army,
07:01 they are taking care when they are afraid,
07:03 they are biting.
07:04 Don't.
07:05 It means that we realize that,
07:06 Allah will protect us.
07:09 Wallahu'alam.
07:10 Thank you, Dr. Arief,
07:12 for explaining about the word 'agha' and 'muhy'.
07:15 That is one motivation,
07:17 courage to the peace of the Muslim army,
07:22 even though they are asked to perform the prayer,
07:24 there is a special way,
07:27 and also need to take care,
07:29 many times the word 'hidhrakum' is repeated.
07:32 But apparently,
07:33 that is an effort.
07:34 Effort as an army.
07:36 But if we say,
07:37 taking care when we are afraid,
07:40 it will cause,
07:42 it can cause a fight too.
07:44 But Allah gives this motivation,
07:46 at the same time,
07:47 when we talk about 'azaban muhy',
07:48 it is certain,
07:49 when they can defeat,
07:51 that is the way Allah punishes,
07:53 to the disbelievers themselves.
07:56 So, there are two or three ways,
07:58 we see the verse 102,
08:00 about 'azaban muhyna'.
08:02 If we talk about 'soykha',
08:04 the source is from the 'pekikan',
08:06 but this is the source from the Muslims themselves,
08:09 who will defeat,
08:11 who will defeat the disbelievers.
08:13 If I can add a little, Ustaz.
08:14 Yes.
08:15 This verse,
08:16 when it is explained,
08:17 it is related to how we as a servant,
08:19 we need to make an effort.
08:21 But in the end,
08:22 who owns this success?
08:23 Owns.
08:24 Owns Allah SWT.
08:25 But to get that success,
08:28 then the effort needs to be done first.
08:31 It is the same for you, ladies and gentlemen,
08:32 may Allah bless you.
08:33 If you want success,
08:34 it is indeed in the hands of Allah SWT,
08:36 but there needs to be an effort,
08:38 as in the 'hudhu hithrakum' earlier.
08:41 Yes, mashallah.
08:42 So, there is an effort,
08:43 and before that,
08:44 we talked about 'salat' for example.
08:45 So, 'salat' and 'usaha' are combined,
08:48 and hopefully Allah will make it part of Allah, right?
08:52 That is, preparing for victory,
08:53 humiliating the disbelievers,
08:56 in the context of a war.
08:58 Alright.
08:59 In the verse 103,
09:00 we would like to read together,
09:01 how after the event,
09:05 or after the prayer,
09:06 let us read together,
09:07 verse 103,
09:08 led by Al-Fadl Ustaz Tirmidziyya Ali.
09:10 Please.
09:11 Al-Fadl Ustaz Tirmidziyya Ali.
09:14 So when you have completed the prayer,
09:20 remember Allah while standing or sitting
09:30 or on your sides.
09:35 And when you have settled,
09:40 then establish prayer.
09:51 Indeed, prayer is ever,
09:58 upon the believers,
10:03 a prescribed Book.
10:11 May Allah bless you.
10:12 May Allah bless you, Nazim.
10:13 In the verse 103,
10:14 Allah says,
10:15 "Then when you have completed your prayer,
10:18 remember Allah while standing or sitting or on your sides."
10:22 That is a part of the translation from verse 103.
10:24 The word 'fa'idha qadha' is the one that is completed.
10:26 If I may clarify,
10:27 does it mean after completing the prayer?
10:30 Or does it refer to our prayer in general?
10:33 In our life, after prayer, we have to do dhikr.
10:35 If I may clarify.
10:36 And at the same time,
10:37 at the end of verse 103,
10:39 in this verse,
10:40 there are three times the word 'prayer'.
10:42 As-Salah in the first line,
10:44 As-Salah in the second line,
10:46 and then,
10:47 In-As-Salah.
10:48 There are three, right?
10:49 So where does As-Salah refer to?
10:52 There are three times the word 'prayer', right?
10:56 Alhamdulillah.
10:57 In my opinion,
10:59 with my research on this verse,
11:01 Wallahu'alam,
11:02 when we read this verse,
11:04 we need to always look at the context.
11:07 When we look at the context,
11:08 we need to look at the verse above and the verse below.
11:11 That is the rule, right?
11:13 Yes.
11:14 Because usually,
11:15 if we want to understand the verse of the Quran,
11:17 we need to look at what the scholars call 'siyak'.
11:20 'Siyak' means the context of the verse.
11:23 That is a big word, actually.
11:25 As-Siyak.
11:26 Maybe you can explain after this,
11:29 about how As-Siyak is a rule
11:32 that we can use when interacting with the Quran.
11:35 But we will take a break for a while.
11:37 We will continue later.
11:38 It's not easy to answer that.
11:40 May Allah bless you.
11:41 Inshallah.

14:19 In My Quran Time,
14:23 Quran Salat Imfah for today,
14:24 we will continue with the 95th and 96th page.
14:27 We have already read verse 103
14:30 where the three words 'Salat' are repeated in this verse.
14:33 Of course, it is a guide
14:36 on how we can copy the 'Fardu Salat'
14:40 that is emphasized in the Quran.
14:43 Before we discuss the content of verse 103,
14:46 we want to look at the Quran scholars
14:49 or the scholars of 'Tafsir' and 'Ilm'
14:50 about 'Tafsir' and the Quran.
14:52 How we can study,
14:54 how we can learn
14:56 the words that I used earlier,
14:57 'As-Siyak'.
14:58 What does it mean?
15:00 How to practice it?
15:02 Before we discuss verse 103.
15:04 Please proceed.
15:05 'As-Siyak'
15:07 'As-Siyak' is one of the methods of 'Tafsir'
15:12 where we need to understand each verse.
15:15 What is meant by 'As-Siyak'?
15:17 Ladies and gentlemen,
15:18 'As-Siyak' is where we look at the context.
15:21 How do we want to know the context of the verse?
15:24 We need to look at the previous verse
15:26 and the order of the following verses.
15:29 When we understand the order,
15:32 because usually the verses are related to each other.
15:37 I can give an example to the verses
15:39 to make it clearer for you.
15:41 If we look at verse 102
15:43 which talks about 'Solatul Khawf'.
15:47 When we say 'Solatul Khawf',
15:49 then verse 103,
15:50 after you have completed 'Solat'.
15:54 So, 'Solat' refers to 'Solatul Khawf'
16:01 which is the previous verse.
16:03 When I say we use 'Siyak' to interpret the verse,
16:06 we do not deny if there are other interpretations
16:11 which separate the verse from the order of the verse.
16:15 It is also possible.
16:17 It does not mean that we need to look at 'Siyak'
16:21 to interpret the Quran.
16:23 Sometimes, we can take out the verse
16:27 and interpret it independently.
16:30 This is a bit difficult.
16:32 Maybe we need a special course with Tuan Fazlul.
16:34 To know how we can take out the verse from 'Siyak'
16:40 and how to interpret it.
16:41 That can also be done.
16:43 But we need to look at the interpretation.
16:47 We need to make sure it is consistent with the Sharia.
16:51 It should be consistent with the rules
16:53 that have been agreed upon in the interpretation.
16:55 Referring back to verse 103.
16:57 Ladies and gentlemen,
16:58 may Allah's mercy be upon you.
16:59 So, if we look at the previous verse,
17:01 the above verse refers to 'Solatul Khawf'.
17:03 It means that 'As-Salah' refers to 'Solatul Khawf' as well.
17:07 So, if we look at this verse,
17:09 Allah says,
17:10 after you have completed 'Solat',
17:12 then 'Berzikirlah' to Allah,
17:15 standing, sitting, or lying down.
17:20 Or we can say,
17:22 'Berbarin' in the interpretation.
17:25 What does it mean?
17:26 It means that after they have completed 'Solat',
17:29 they are still in a state of war.
17:31 So, when we are in a state of war,
17:33 Allah SWT encourages us to do more 'Zikr'.
17:36 Because only by doing 'Zikr',
17:38 'Ala bi-zikrillah, tatma'inul kufr'.
17:41 Only by doing 'Zikr' will we be at peace.
17:43 Especially in a difficult situation
17:45 where the enemy is standing in front of us.
17:47 Allah SWT also says in Surah Al-Anfal,
17:50 [Al-Anfal]
17:56 "O you who believe!
17:58 If you meet an enemy,
17:59 then let him strengthen your standing.
18:01 At the same time,
18:02 let him do 'Zikr' to Allah SWT
18:05 with a lot of 'Zikr',
18:06 and hopefully you will succeed."
18:08 So, our principle in facing the enemy
18:10 is to do a lot of 'Zikr'.
18:12 And when the scholars discuss about 'Zikr' in 'Zikr'
18:15 when they want to fight,
18:16 'Zikr' should be done in a quiet way.
18:21 Subhanallah, subhanallah, subhanallah.
18:23 It's not like we want to go to a 'Tahlil' gathering
18:26 in front of a battle.
18:27 It's not like that.
18:28 The enemy is in front of us.
18:30 So, we should do 'Zikr' in a quiet way.
18:33 And with 'Zikr',
18:35 if we see,
18:36 there is a connection between this verse
18:37 and the verse above it.
18:38 Because when the verse above it,
18:40 Allah SWT says,
18:42 "Let you guard,
18:44 and then you should be connected to the concept of 'Aqidah'
18:47 which is Allah is our protector."
18:49 In the first question we answered earlier.
18:52 In the second question, it's the same.
18:54 After you do 'Solat',
18:55 you should guard yourself
18:56 to calm yourself down.
18:58 Let you do 'Zikr'
18:59 so that you can increase your faith.
19:01 You should strengthen your 'Aqidah'.
19:03 Why do you need to strengthen it?
19:05 Because the enemy is in front of you.
19:07 If you don't strengthen your 'Aqidah',
19:08 your heart is not strong,
19:09 you will be afraid that you will run backwards.
19:12 While the enemy is in front of you.
19:14 So, because of that,
19:16 then if we see,
19:17 "Fa'idhat ma'nan til fa'qimu s-salah"
19:19 When you are in a calm state,
19:21 in a safe state,
19:23 then you should do 'Solat'
19:25 as taught by Prophet SAW to you
19:28 in a normal way.
19:31 That's it.
19:32 But Ustaz,
19:33 I like to draw on the previous Ustaz's statement,
19:35 where after 'Solat' we need to do 'Zikr'.
19:37 I don't deny,
19:39 it's true that after 'Solat'
19:40 we are instructed to do 'Zikr'
19:43 to see the 'Sunnah' of Prophet SAW.
19:48 Allah knows best.
19:49 So, when we have learnt a little bit
19:51 about the term 'As-Siyah Qa'
19:53 we see the previous verse
19:55 or the verse after it,
19:57 then we know that
19:58 "Qadha'itumu s-salah"
19:59 if we take the previous verse,
20:00 it means 'Al-Khawf'
20:02 and if we separate it,
20:04 the verse 103 is independent,
20:06 it can refer to the general 'Solat'
20:10 where after 'Solat'
20:12 we still continue our life
20:15 by doing 'Zikr' to Allah SWT
20:19 in a loud way,
20:20 in a clear way,
20:21 or in a quiet way,
20:22 that's another discussion.
20:24 But for sure,
20:25 we need to fill our life
20:27 in the battlefield
20:28 and in the battlefield of life,
20:30 still remembering Allah SWT a lot.
20:35 And talking about remembering Allah
20:37 is for us to always be motivated.
20:40 One of the motivations Allah gave
20:42 in the verse 104
20:44 that we want to read
20:46 and we want to deepen
20:47 what are the principles
20:48 that we can practice in our daily life.
20:50 Verse 104,
20:51 we read with Al-Fawzi al-Usas,
20:52 Jalilul Ziyarah al-Isiya'
20:54 I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan
20:57 And be not weak in the search of the people
21:13 If you are in pain,
21:20 then they are in pain
21:26 as you are in pain,
21:31 and you expect from Allah what He does not expect
21:44 And Allah is Knowing and Wise
21:54 As-Salaamu Alaikum
21:56 As-Salaamu Alaikum,
21:57 verse 104,
21:58 And be not weak in the search of the people
22:00 If you are in pain,
22:02 then they are in pain
22:05 as you are in pain,
22:07 and you expect from Allah what He does not expect
22:11 At the end of verse 104,
22:13 Allah is Knowing and Wise
22:16 There are many verses at the end
22:18 Asma'ullahul Husna
22:20 How to understand Allah is Knowing and Wise
22:22 in verse 104?
22:24 Interesting
22:25 Allah is Knowing and Wise
22:27 in the context of war
22:32 After this, we will talk about other topics
22:36 Allah is Knowing and Wise
22:39 is interesting
22:41 I see this today
22:43 If we study the interpretations
22:46 Sometimes we will find some interpretations
22:50 I will mention some
22:52 I see that Allah is Knowing and Wise
22:58 When we are in war
23:01 One important aspect is
23:04 knowledge
23:08 Not only knowledge of war
23:12 We also need to know
23:14 how our enemy is
23:17 For example, we need to know
23:19 how our army is
23:21 We also need to know
23:23 how many enemy soldiers are there
23:25 How many people are there
23:27 What is their moral
23:29 What strategy will be used
23:31 Allah says
23:33 Wa kan Allahu 'aliman hakimat
23:35 Because in this verse Allah says
23:37 Wa la tahinu fi bitiqa il qawm
23:39 In takunu ta'lamu
23:41 If you are in pain, they are in pain too
23:43 All groups are in pain
23:45 This is a term that is often used
23:47 In pain
23:49 And you expect something from Allah
23:51 Something that they cannot expect
23:55 Allah is telling us
23:58 One thing that is happening among the enemy army
24:01 And that is in war
24:04 That is a very important thing
24:06 For us to know how the enemy army is
24:09 So in this verse Allah says
24:11 Wa kan Allahu 'aliman hakimat
24:13 Allah knows what is in your heart
24:15 What you feel
24:17 What you will do
24:19 In the same time Allah knows what they feel
24:23 What is their strategy
24:25 Allah knows
24:27 Everything is in the knowledge of Allah
24:29 Allah SWT
24:31 So what we need to do is
24:33 We only need to implement
24:35 The strategy that Allah has written for us
24:38 Because Allah is the most knowing
24:40 And the most wise
24:42 And the wisdom is to put something in its place
24:45 So in this verse Allah says
24:47 Wa la yahtahinu fi bitira'il qawm
24:50 If we take in the time of the Prophet SAW
24:53 Related to 'al-Imam al-Qurtubi RA
24:55 He put this verse after the battle of Uhud
24:58 So after the battle of Uhud
25:00 The Muslim army chased
25:02 Chased the disbelievers
25:04 When they chased, they were in pain
25:07 But they chased the enemy army
25:10 So Allah SWT wants to mention here
25:12 Because Allah knows best
25:14 Allah knows best about the strategy
25:16 Which should be used in the battle
25:18 So after the battle is over
25:20 Even if you are sick, go and chase
25:22 Because in chasing
25:24 It will bring goodness to the Muslims
25:26 And it really happened
25:28 Because when the Muslim army chased
25:30 The enemy army broke back and ran to Mecca
25:33 Even though they just won the battle of Uhud
25:36 That is if we look at the time of the Prophet SAW
25:39 If we look at our time
25:41 That is why we say the Quran
25:43 Sometimes we can follow Siyat
25:45 Or we can follow
25:47 Isolate it
25:49 If we look at the time now
25:51 Allah SWT wants to mention to us
25:53 That we must always fight
25:55 The disbelievers who fight us
25:58 If we are hurt in our struggle
26:01 Then we must know that they are also hurt
26:04 And we must understand
26:07 From this government
26:09 That when Allah SWT governs us
26:11 There will be a lot of goodness that will come
26:13 If we show our strength in the battle
26:17 First of all, Islam will not be oppressed
26:21 Islam will be able to develop well
26:23 And the most important thing is
26:26 So that we can get the pleasure of Allah SWT
26:30 I would like to ask Dr. Arif to explain
26:34 That Allah knows our strategy
26:37 Our strategy is hurt here and there
26:39 But what is more interesting is
26:42 When Allah knows and Allah is the most wise
26:45 And the best
26:47 So Allah is our side
26:49 The important thing is
26:51 We really hope for help from Allah
26:55 And we follow what Allah has decreed
26:58 So that Allah's help
27:00 Allah's wisdom
27:02 Will be beneficial to us
27:04 And finally we will get success and victory
27:07 We will take a short break
27:09 We will be back after this
27:10 May Quran time, Quran Salat and Infah
