00:20 Hey I'm Randy Vance I'm on Table Rock Lake not far from the factory home of G3 Boats

00:25 and this is their Angler V178F. It's a brand new boat for 2024, 17 feet of fishing machine

00:33 and it's got a high performance 115 horsepower outboard on it.

00:38 Now the V178 is built extra tough, it's got double plating on all the stress points like the keel

00:45 so that the boat stays solid even in the roughest conditions.

00:49 We found the boat handled beautifully thanks to the deep V-Hull and the 115 horsepower Yamaha outboard.

00:56 When you get ready to fish it provides a stable trolling platform or a stable casting platform.

01:02 Our boat's equipped with a 12 volt trolling motor.

01:05 We like the fact that it's foot operated and in the center locker you can hold up to 8 foot rods.

01:12 On the port and starboard of that there's storage for life jackets and other tackle.

01:17 Under the trolling motor you've got a small compartment which is an ideal place to tuck away your lunch and your phone.

01:24 When you step aft you'll find a 23 gallon live well in the center of the casting deck.

01:29 Now that live well also has space for a minnow bucket and for your bait.

01:33 We've got jump seats on the port and the starboard side that gives you extra seating for your guests

01:39 and I like the fact that you've got four seat pedestal sockets here in the cockpit

01:44 so you can arrange the seats to make them ideal for trolling and keeping an eye on your lines.

01:50 In the cockpit there's a rod locker on both the port and starboard side which gives you plenty of room to store

01:55 canoe paddle required in most states, your lights and of course other rods.

02:00 You've got a solid transom with plenty of splash board available so that when you're back trolling you're not bringing water aboard.

02:07 Now the nice thing about the Angler Series is the full wrap around windshield.

02:11 That makes this boat ideal for fishing in northern climes where you're likely to run into lousy weather.

02:17 Gives you a lot of protection in the cockpit.

02:19 On the port side you've got a tall console with a glove box and a slot for your cell phone.

02:25 The starboard side there's another phone slot and you can see this one is equipped with a Humminbird Helix 7 on a ram mount.

02:33 I like the gauge package right here and behind this panel are your fuses so you don't have to crawl under the boat to change a fuse.

02:40 Now one of the nicest things about the V-178F Angler is it's very efficient on a light motor and in fact the entire package is so light
