Since the death of her husband, Prince Philip, some of the monarch’s closet courtiers have remained loyally by her side. Paul Whybrew, the Queen’s favourite courtier – who is known as "Tall Paul" due to his 6ft 4in frame – and her dresser Angela Kelly are said to be a near-constant presence by her side. Mr Whybrew, 62, is seen as indispensable by the monarch. Said to be the only person trusted to touch her jigsaw puzzles, Mr Whybrew has been watching television with the Queen and, along with Ms Kelly, keeping her company as she convalesces. An early sign of his loyalty came in 1982 when he wrestled Michael Fagan to the ground after the intruder broke into the Queen’s bedroom at Buckingham P ...
