Elon Musk is criticizing the SEC and DOJ amid a lawsuit trying to force him to testify in the SEC's ongoing probe into his acquisition of Twitter. The SEC is investigating if Musk’s purchase of Twitter triggered securities laws, and filed a lawsuit on October 5th seeking to compel Musk to comply with an earlier SEC subpoena requiring him to testify. Musk refused to testify when originally scheduled on September 15th and objected to rescheduling. The SEC says his objections lack legal merit. Musk posted that the SEC and DOJ need an "overhaul" and "a commission to take punitive action against those individuals who have abused their regulatory power for personal and political gain."
