00:11 of the iconic Land Cruiser.

00:13 Land Cruisers help settle modern Australia

00:16 and are found absolutely everywhere,

00:19 from the city to the outback,

00:21 where they're used as workhorses in mining and agriculture.

00:25 Land Cruisers are legendary across this continent

00:28 for their durability and reliability.

00:31 So, what's new with the 2016 Land Cruiser?

00:35 Well, it has new sheet metal from the A-pillar forward,

00:38 including a revised grill and double bubble hood,

00:41 luxurious semi-aniline leather.

00:43 It also has an eight-speed automatic transmission,

00:46 for the first time in a Toyota vehicle.

00:48 There's also various terrain modes,

00:50 including multi-terrain select and crawl control.

00:57 The redesigned 2016 Land Cruiser

01:10 builds upon decades of experience off-road.

01:12 Now, we've been all over Australia,

01:19 in Adelaide, and then went to Port Augusta,

01:22 saw some phenomenal sights, climbed some ridges,

01:25 and saw some millions and millions of year-old fossils.

01:33 And this new tight turn control,

01:46 you actually lock the inside wheel

01:48 and drag it, similar to the way a tank would turn,

01:51 to get around very tight corners.

01:56 Up and down steep trails of dirt roads

02:09 through Australia's iconic Flinders Mountain Ranges,

02:13 our Land Cruiser never missed a beat.

02:15 And we finished up the trip here,

02:18 about 120 miles south of Sydney,

02:22 at the Toyota Land Cruiser Club of Australia's

02:24 fantastic off-road facility, Willow Glen.

02:29 We've tested this vehicle,

02:30 this beast, the 200 Series Land Cruiser,

02:35 has been basically unstoppable.

02:37 We've taken it on some tremendously challenging trails,

02:41 and it's actually kind of,

02:44 the trails look a lot harder

02:46 when you're standing next to them,

02:47 but this truck makes it look so easy

02:50 with all of the fantastic controls,

02:53 and traction, and grip,

02:55 and just all the qualities that make a Land Cruiser a legend.
