Mike Tomlin Updates Kenny Pickett's Injury Status

Pittsburgh Steelers' HC Mike Tomlin provides an update on QB Kenny Pickett's injury.

00:02 I want to update you guys with Kenny.

00:05 He's got what can be described as a bone bruise.

00:08 He's scheduled to participate in some level

00:10 of participation tomorrow and then proceed from there.

00:14 Obviously his functionality and comfort

00:18 being the guide tomorrow,

00:20 the more functional and more comfortable he is,

00:23 the more work he'll get.

00:25 And then as we push forward toward the game,

00:29 the quality of his work will be a determining factor

00:32 on his availability.

00:34 A quarterback is no different than any other position,

00:36 man, young players,

00:37 they need the in helmet perspective on preparation.

00:41 He knows and understands that,

00:42 he's prepared to practice tomorrow.

00:44 Again, we'll let tomorrow be our guide

00:45 in terms of how we move forward with that understanding.

00:49 We'll have a brief meeting tomorrow in the morning

00:51 at some point before we get on the field

00:53 to kind of just see where our baseline is

00:56 and kind of proceed from there.

00:59 But I'll ask him not to be selfish.
