3 Filipino fishermen killed in South China Sea boat collision

Three Filipino fishermen lost their lives when a foreign commercial ship collided with their boat in the South China Sea near the Philippines. The incident occurred early Monday morning, Oct. 2, 2023, northwest of Scarborough Shoal. The fishing boat was attached to a device for catching fish, and the collision caused it to sink, resulting in the loss of three lives, including the captain.
