00:04 >> Well, we need to see Jaden Thomas step up and
00:05 play better against the Power Five teams.
00:07 We've talked about this too,
00:08 Jaden Thomas has been the model of consistency against the group of five teams.
00:12 He's had four catches for either 62 or 63 yards in all those games.
00:17 Then he has one catch, zero catches against NC State, zero.
00:21 And he was four targets.
00:23 And then he has, and he drops a deep ball.
00:25 Then you go against Ohio State, and he has one catch for seven yards on three
00:29 targets, so one catch on seven targets against the two Power Five teams.
00:33 And so that's a guy that you're building your offense around.
00:36 You want him to be a part of what your football team is gonna be.
00:41 He's gotta be a leader.
00:43 You can't have your boundary receiver have one catch in two games against
00:48 your Power Five opponents.
00:49 You can't have that.
00:50 He's gonna have to play at a higher level.
00:51 But then you gotta ask yourself, well, who are the other answers?
00:54 They tried playing Tobias Merriweather in the boundary some this past week, and
00:58 he didn't step up and answer the bell, right?
01:00 You've tried Rico Flores, they've put in there a little bit as a rotation guy.
01:04 Rico can do some nice things, but Rico's not a guy you want being a boundary guy.
01:08 He's more of a field guy.
01:09 He needs space.
01:11 And where was the big catch he had against Duke?
01:15 It was working over the middle of the field, right?
01:17 Things like that.
01:19 So they're gonna have to really be open to,
01:22 when you look at the receiving core, Ryan, they're gonna have to be open to, okay,
01:26 this is what we've done.
01:28 Here's what's worked, here's what's didn't work, hasn't worked.
01:31 And they've gotta be willing to say, what changes do we need to make?
01:35 And I'm not talking about benching guys per se.
01:37 I'm talking about, do we need to rethink who's playing where
01:42 in order to get certain guys moving?
01:44 >> And also like snap share, snap share too though, right?
01:47 Like no, no one should be get benched and just not play at all.
01:50 But does a guy need to play a little bit more?
01:52 Does a guy need to play maybe a slightly bit less?
01:54 Do we need to just kind of toy with the rotation is kind of my biggest thing.
01:58 >> Or does a guy need to play more over here as opposed to here?
02:03 Those are all things they're gonna have to kind of to figure out an answer.
02:07 And that's what, and then when you have them, what are you doing with them?
02:14 Because the stuff you're doing pass game right now, sometimes you can say, well,
02:17 this guy needs to step up.
02:18 But other times you need to say,
02:20 are you really doing the best you can with these players?
02:25 Are there things that you can be asking Chris Tyree to do that you're not asking
02:30 Jaden Greathouse to do?
02:32 And that's the thing is like you watch their route packages, Ryan,
02:35 they're very similar.
02:36 They're not asking Chris Tyree to do different things.
02:38 When he's in the game, he's basically just doing what Jaden Greathouse does.
02:41 Well, Jaden Greathouse is better at those things.
02:43 What I wanna see from the coaching staff is, okay, when Chris Tyree's in the game,
02:48 we're gonna do some of these things to utilize his unique skill set.
02:52 And we're not seeing that.
02:53 you know.
