00:18 You are fairly newbies to the franchise,

00:21 but how does it feel to be part of a franchise

00:23 that's so loved?

00:24 - Oh my gosh, you know, I was saying earlier,

00:26 like, we didn't even know how big it was

00:28 when we got into it,

00:29 and once our show aired, I'm like,

00:31 "Oh my gosh, this is so huge, so many opportunities."

00:34 And it's so cool that it's been 10 years

00:36 and it's still going, you know?

00:37 Like, we're on a lot of pillow talks,

00:38 we love pillow talk,

00:39 and it's just really fun to see all the new stories

00:42 and all the new couples,

00:43 'cause everyone's different

00:44 and everyone has a different story.

00:45 And it's really fun to just, you know,

00:48 watch their love and go up and down.

00:51 - I mean, I can say that,

00:52 despite the fact that we've been in the franchise

00:53 not for too long, just like, you know, two years ago,

00:56 but it's a beautiful place.

00:57 And for the franchise to celebrate up to the 10th season

01:01 and counting, it means it's a beautiful place, you know,

01:04 filled with so much experience and exposure as well.

01:07 - You've been using your platform to inspire people,

01:10 which I love.

01:11 You can go to Kobe's Instagram and it brightens your day.

01:14 Why is that so important to you?

01:15 - You know, when I started my motivation on Monday,

01:18 like, I'm good at talking to people.

01:20 I just feel like, you know,

01:22 I don't know everybody out there who follows me,

01:24 but I feel like if I send a message out there,

01:26 it might touch somebody deep.

01:27 And people go through a lot in life.

01:29 This is what most of us fail to understand.

01:31 And a single word of encouragement

01:34 might boast somebody's morale.

01:36 So I just feel like, let me just put it out there.

01:39 This is, I'm good at talking.

01:41 So let me just say it.

01:42 I know I'm gonna have a lot of haters.

01:44 People like, "Who the hell do you think you are?

01:46 "You're not even this, you're not even this."

01:48 But I know for sure that my message can touch somebody

01:52 who is in need of that.

01:53 And I've had a lot of people messaging me like,

01:56 "Yo man, thank you so much.

01:57 "Your message meant a lot to me."

01:59 - When I was preparing for these questions

02:00 for interviewing you, I was coming across posts

02:02 where I was like, "Oh, I needed that."

02:05 So it's working.

02:06 You're a fan favorite couple at this point.

02:09 So what's your message to the fans out there

02:11 who love you so much?

02:12 - Oh my gosh, well, thank you for your support.

02:14 You know, our season was definitely up and down.

02:17 And definitely made us stronger as a couple.

02:20 And you know, we have two beautiful children right now.

02:23 And we're just really grateful for everyone

02:25 who really genuinely loves us and our story.

02:28 And you know, we can't say thank you more than,

02:31 - Yeah, I mean.

02:32 - I don't know, I can say it a billion times.

02:33 - Thank everybody who followed the story,

02:35 the ones that encouraged us.

02:36 Like, we didn't start off very good in the franchise,

02:40 but those things, those challenges we faced

02:43 only made us stronger and made us closer together.

02:46 And at the end of the day, we focused on our priority,

02:48 which was, you know, to have a family together.

02:51 I know it comes with a lot,

02:53 but we choose not to focus on those difficulties,

02:55 those flaws.

02:56 We choose to love ourself and, you know,

02:58 have beautiful family life.

03:00 We love our kids.

03:01 Where we are today is nothing closer

03:04 to what we were when we started.

03:06 I'm just so happy that we're on a good foot.

03:08 - We've grown so much.

03:09 And Colbin and Scarlett,

03:10 they are growing in front of our eyes.

03:13 Any plans to expand the family even more?

03:16 - Yeah, when we're out of my mom's house and my dad's house.

03:18 We keep saying that, we're like, once we move out,

03:20 because you know, he comes from 10 siblings,

03:22 I come from five.

03:23 And so we do want like four or five, I think.

03:26 - We're gonna have, you know, we wanna have a big family.

03:30 And I used to, you know, growing up,

03:32 thinking I was gonna beat my dad's record.

03:33 But after seeing the reality of life, I'm like,

03:36 that's not where we beat my dad's record in the US.

03:38 If it was in Africa, would have been a whole deal.

03:41 But in the US, raising kids, man, it's something else.

03:43 - Yeah.

03:44 - Well, how is your mom and your dad?

03:45 How are they?

03:46 - They're amazing.

03:47 They're with the kids right now, but you know,

03:49 they're our number one supporters.

03:51 And they, I'm surprised they haven't kicked us out.

03:54 No, they would never do that.

03:55 But they are, I mean, we couldn't ask for anything better.

03:59 Like they are just the nicest, loving, you know,

04:03 most genuine people who would do anything for us.

04:05 I mean, my dad talked, like my dad,

04:08 every time we go somewhere, he's like,

04:08 "This is my son, Kobe."

04:09 Like they're best friends.

04:11 - He is the most simplest man I've ever met

04:14 in my entire life.

04:15 Like we don't only have the relationship of, you know,

04:18 son-in-law and father-in-law.

04:20 Now we talk like, you know, G's.

04:22 - Yeah.

04:22 - Like we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we,

04:23 - You can tell your dad does have G in him.

04:25 - Oh yeah.

04:26 - We sit and we talk and you know,

04:28 they are the highest support that we've ever had

04:30 in our relationship.

04:31 And I feel blessed to be part of the family.

04:33 Like I've had so many friends,

04:35 like so many people text me like,

04:36 "Kobe, how do you even cope with these folks?"

04:39 Like blessing comes in so many forms.

04:41 - So many forms.

04:42 In a bar in China, a blessing came.

04:45 - I tell him that all the time, probably weekly.

04:48 I'm like, "That's so crazy."

04:50 Like I saw you in a bar in China.

04:52 I'm from Kansas.

04:53 You're from Cameroon.

04:55 I went after him in the bathroom,

04:57 but he got my number first though.

04:59 And he said, "I love you first."

05:00 I'm gonna put that out there.

05:01 - It doesn't really matter who got whose number first,

05:05 but it's just so crazy how you can find true love

05:08 in crazy places.

05:08 - Yeah.

05:09 - Like, and sometimes, you know,

05:11 we shy away from true love because of the places

05:15 that you meet people, you know?

05:17 But I'm so happy that, you know, we met in a bar.

05:20 We are here today with two beautiful kids.

05:22 And who knows what the future holds.

05:25 We're just hoping for a better life together.
